Other Games 11/9/'14

Post#1 » by NinerSickness » Sun Nov 9, 2014 10:29 pm

Just turned on the Cardinals-Rams' game to see my guy EJ Gaines stop a would-be TD against John Brown.

SeaChickens 1st down on the 4 yard line. :(

Marshawn Lynch was about to score an easy TD from the 1 yard line on a handoff out of shotgun, but he slipped when he tried to plant his foot and lost a yard.

3rd & Goal from the 2 or 3 yard line.

14-7 NYG over Seattle

EDIT: Easy TD, Lynch/Seahawks.

Tied 14-14

Austin Davis to Jared Cook for 59 yards & a TD. Nice.

Cook has some wheels.

Ugh. I knew I should have picked up Cook off the Waiver Wire and started him in my fantasy league.

Martellus Bennett better start tonight against GB or I'm in trouble.

Another game where Russell Wilson goes into the 2nd half with less than 100 passing yards. He's 6/10 for 82 yards and 2 INTs, with the 2nd one looking really awful for them from what I could tell.

Lynch killing it on the ground yet again, though, with 2 short rush TDs, 84 yards, and Wilson has chipped in with 77 rushing yards himself.

Rams have held Ellington to 16 rushing yards on 13 carries (1 rush TD). Fitzgerald is responsible for about 40% of their yards.

Derek Carr is approaching 40 pass attempts and still doesn't have 100 passing yards. He is 21/37 for 93 passing yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs.

Completing 21 passes and attempting 37 passes without 100 yards seems like it'd be really hard to do even if you tried in today's NFL.

James Jones has his longest completion of the day at 10 yards. No other receiver has a catch that went for double digits.

Eli Manning just gift-wrapped an INT for the Seahawks with a tie game late in the 3rd quarter. Threw a deep ball into the end zone and it was tipped by another Seahawks defender and then picked off by Thomas.

Excuse me. That was tipped by Odell and not the Seahawks actually. Then picked off by Thomas.

Piling on Drew Brees. Not that he'll care any about this one now but Peyton Manning broke his tie with him for most career games with 5+ TD passes. Manning has 9, Brees has 8, Marino had 6.

That was a very peculiar looking injury for Palmer. I thought maybe it was a shoulder because he got his bad one pulled on but I don't know what happened there if it's not the shoulder.

I am almost positive that it is his knee.

Waiting for the day when the Seahawks don't have Lynch to help bail them out of so many bad Russell Wilson games. Granted they'd have a decent chunk of change to go and replace him or improve other areas of the team but it's really disgusting as a Niners fan.

Yeah. Looks like something to the leg now. I wasn't looking at the lower body when it happened because I saw his shoulder get grabbed.

Palmer walked off the field and to a cart and then was carted to the locker room.

I saw his leg twist a bad way and he just went down.. So many ACL/MCL injuries in the past 5 or so years it is easy to spot now
