CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
He made it very obvious after the game that he is not happy with his role in the offense. He said, "I am a 3rd down receiver, when they need me on 3rd down they throw to me."...The Niners pulled him out of many 1st and 2nd downs on this game and went with Stevie and Boldin, and when they went multiple TEs Crabtree was off the field then too...I was in favor of extending him a few months ago, I am not anymore.

Just for the record, I was the one calling for the Niners to trade his overrated @zz after the 2012 season.

Dez will probably get the franchise tag & play the year under that tag because he's gonne get obscene money on the open market. I'm sure Dallas will get rid of anyone they have to in order to make sure that happens.
I know you weren't serious, but for other people who don't know this, the trade deadline has passed. Crabtree will be an URFA and go to some other team in the offseason. I hope it's for a ton of money in order to help the Niners' compensatory-pick formula.
I'm totally comfortable going into 2015 w/ Boldin, Stevie & Lloyd as the 1-2-3 guys, but I really hope they draft DGB.

I want them to look at Duron Carter too.

Just read an article today that Cowboys are undecided wheather they want to invest longterm in Dez Bryant. They are conderned about his on the filed and off the field behavior. He already rejected a previous offer because there was very little guaranteed money, and now has a new agent.

As for next season, we do have Boldin, Stevie, Patton, and Ellington under contract. LLoyd is a free agent and is 33. So I say draft a WR or sign a free agent.

I was but I read somewhere that Dallas may be hesitant to sign him big bucks n Lt.
N I am not comfortable of the aforementioned as our top 3 lol

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
Yes, Lloyd would have to be re-signed, but I think he's a pretty good 3rd option for next year.
I don't know if Dallas can afford Dez long-term, but he's easily worth the franchise tag. If they don't tag him Jerry Jones is nuts. I fully expect him to be a Cowboy next year. Players w/ the tag are rarely traded because teams don't want to give up both a boat load of money and a draft pick or picks.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
As for next season, I say go with youth at the WR position. Go with Patton and Ellington, plus a draft pick and/or free agent. In addition to already having Boldin and Stevie.

He stays or goes, I won't lose much sleep either way. He's a solid receiver but isn't irreplaceable. OL and QB are much bigger concerns at this point.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
that's the thing, he's not irreplaceable either... I was for Crabtree staying but the guy has the dropsies at the most stupid times cuz he'll make the the wow catches here n there.... not a burner and not on Boldin's level IMO.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
Here is the list of WR I am looking forward to drafting as they are all big receivers.
Kevin White. 6'4" fast reminds me of A.J. Green.
Jaelen Strong. 6'4" great hands reminds me of a Larry Fitzgerald
DeVante Parker 6'4" reminds me of Crabtree with a few extra inches
Devin Funchess 6'5" reminds me of Alshon Jeffery with a few extra inches
Dorial Green-Beckham 6'6" Reminds me of Michael Irving
These all could go in first or early second round. I hope the 9ers get one.

I'm in this boat as well.
At this point I'm campaigning for a big trade up in the draft to grab a WR on that AJ Green Dez Bryant level. Having a guy like that would be huge for the offense.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
In all seriousness I agree with some that if he stays or go's it's no big deal to me.
Was leaning towards wanting to keep him at the start of the year but his inability to stay healthy and his disappearance this year says no now.
We can save the money and still be solid with boldin/johnson/Patton and Ellington. Maybe even resign Lloyd and draft a guy or find a free agent.
See ya crabs.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
I think shopping Crabtree is smart, but he's still valuable enough to not want to give up for nothing.
I don't expect to get any top level talent for him (Dez, etc.) but he could bring something worth having back if we start talking with the right team.

Re: CRABTREE NOT HAPPY
I don't like Crabtree in interviews - what drops, after the NFCC, after the QB switch, etc. He was the only one to say non-PC stuff after those things. I guess, it's ok, but why? Talk to your coach, your agent, your QB, I'm of the school of thought that you shut up when you know the media is trying to get a quote from you, even if you are right (which other than the drops one he was right as it pertained to him and his numbers). Seems selfish. I don't see Frank Gore saying much but when he does, it's about him, too, not just targets or trusting him, etc.
