The team has also supposedly rubbed off on Rivers and made him whine more, because he didn't used to whine as much with the Celtics.

This is exactly what I mean by perception issues. Rivers is the exact same coach he was in Boston, nothing different, but there's the perception that the Clippers whine so much more than everyone else, so now he comes on the Clippers and "oh well I don't remember Doc whining like this when he was with Boston". Well that is because you weren't specifically watching games to find every possible instance of it and point it out like you are with the Clippers.

Blazers got some sucky calls, and one part is that with three refs, there's just no perfect standardization and one guy might call something while another won't and that can affect calls. That said, this idea that the refs were thinking "oh it is the Clippers so we will strategically let these calls go and we'll strategically call these ones" just doesn't make sense and wouldn't actually stand the test of scrutiny.

days like today are what i meant when i started the thread about the hate.

too bad some of our own fans only view that in the context of, "are they right about us being legitimate?"

the hate has kind of become its own monster.
We have people measuring whether Curry's elbow that actually hit CP in the jaw was enough to send him to the ground.
We have people telling me that when Serge punches Griffin in the nuts, he wonders what Griffin did to deserve it.

so it's no surprise to me that NOBODY remembers how whiney Doc was as a Celtic.

IT'S NO SURPRISE that we're this faux favorite....u know, the one that can't win it all but supposedly "EVERYBODY" has us picked to win.
IT'S NO SURPRISE that we go from the most hated team that gets no respect anywhere because we flop all the time to a big market team with refs ready to help us against a team that I think is a pretty decent feel good story.

it never ends.
but i log in and keep reading....so i kinda like it I guess.

Quick! Sell high on JJ!

Haven't watched the game yet. Will tune in to league pass later. Starting with 3 guards is interesting. Sounds like our offense still isn't functioning though.

Missed the game, damn officiating duties.

Anyone know where I can catch a replay besides league pass?

I wonder if Doc moving Crawford into the starting 3 spot is a permanent thing. Seemed to work out decently.

Oh I dunno. the iconic flat top vs the iconic fake nose... I think humpty was the better rapper but Kid and Play had better style and were much bigger symbols of its era.

I'll take KnP

You didn't like them? They were a big part of my childhood.

Digital Underground would be way more likely to do a Warrior game than ours.

We got the result however we got smashed in the first quarter (Jamal at the 3) and we made a comeback when Barnes provided spark off the bench. I have always thought Barnes played better in the 2nd unit but it will require a lot more games before it can be regarded as the solution to our problem.

I took my family to the game on Saturday...my wife was really enjoying the performance (I did too). I think they caught a lot of people by surprise, and in a way, Kid 'n Play were kinda underrated--they came into prominence just as hardcore rappers like Public Enemy, Ice-T, and N.W.A were becoming more popular. I kind of re-discovered their music on YouTube and on old-school hip-hop channels on internet radio, and I can it's a lot better than some of the current hip-hop out there today.
