Really annoying me that Kerr is getting credit for the fact that the Warriors are running Gentry's sets. He is the offensive mastermind on that team. Certainly not a guy that has never coached before.

Gentry gets a lot of credit and respect, at least from Warriors fans. Kerr deserves some credit as well. It is both of them.

AD and Cousins won't make a top 4 seed and them making the playoffs once the teams settle down is doubtful as well.
Curry is the favorite right now along with Lowry and Bosh.

Last night had nothing to do with Kerr. It was the same recipe Mark Jackson used time and time again. Give the ball to Curry and watch him work.
Except Kerr doesn't bench mob with guys who can't create and he doesn't iso Barnes anymore. Kerr also actually calls timeouts.

The thing is, top 4 seed wont get the job done. It'll come from a top 2 seed...

D-Wade moving up slowly into discussion? Averaging 20 points 7 assist, 3.5 boards, 1.7 steals, 0.7 blocks and shooting 51% from field and has had 2 double doubles, in 6 games, including 3 back to backs.
Note: Made some clutch shots down the stretch

22-4-7-1-1 on 58.1 FG% in his last 5 games. He surely will be in the convo as well.

Too early. Team wins will decide this. If Miami defies the odds and lands the number one seed in the east, then the media will be all over that narrative. Then it will go to either him or Bosh...or their votes will cancel each other out.
In all likelihood it goes to the best player on the best team out west. Unless that ends up being the Spurs...LOL.

Not sure that'll be the case this year, the heavyweights like LBJ, Durant, Blake, Melo and Russ are not playing well or are injured.
We have a ton of new faces in the discussion who already have a strong case, in Curry (who has taken it to another level), Cousins, AD, Gasol, Lowry and Bosh. This could be the year, we see some change and that would likely result in decreasing the seed requirements for MVP.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Lowry isn't gonna win MVP. Tiny guards don't win it unless they have Nash-level offensive impact. He's a nice PG, but he doesn't have a snowball's chance of winning MVP. Right now the two best bets are Curry and Davis.

If Miami keeps playing the way they are playing now, they will be the number 1 seed. I only see Chicago in their way, but after the way Miami manhandled the Mavs on the road yesterday, I'm starting to reconsider. Great ball movement on offense, the only downfall is the interior defense, but Miamis frontcoutt have been injured to start the season, so we'll see when everyones healthy. We already know what we are going to get out of Wade and Bosh, they just need to stay healthy. Deng has been a blessing, and McBob is starting to come into his own. I don't think there is one team in the East that can stop Miami defensively.

We'll see about that. There will be plenty of offensive clunkers (like the showing against the Bobcats this past week) as the season wears on, and other teams will end up scouting the Heat much better. That said, I think many pundits out are beginning to second-guess slotting Miami in the lower-four seeds in the East.

Even when Miami was playing bad against the Bobcats in the first 3 quarters, Wade and Bosh had a nice dominant 4th quarter and almost stole the game. This Heat team looks more fluid offensively than last season. Birdman coming back should slightly improve their interior defense.

Wade is doing 20 and 7 on killer efficiency and this is with 6 of the 7 games being back-to-back sets where he has played in all of them, and is only averaging 32 mpg (partially due to the b2bs). His minutes will go up and you'll be looking at the 25/7/5 wade I predicted at the start of the season

Wade has already played as many b2b games as did last season.

Exactly, things may be completely wide open this year and to be honest after Rose's MVP, voters might be reluctant to vote for anyone who they see as a clear step down from LeBron & Durant. That could play in to Davis getting the nod if he has the best stats and the team record is good enough to sell that he's carried the Pelicans somewhere.
With that said, while I could see that argument used to take down Curry, I think he probably is less likely to be brushed to the side than those other guys given that we know he's an all-time great shooter who seems to get more dangerous come playoff time. Curry almost certainly needs to lead the Warriors to #1 seed territory to get that MVP, but he's not going to get skipped over easily if he does do that.
By contrast, I really don't think anyone's ready to give James Harden the MVP this year despite his making 1st team ahead of Curry last year, and I expect they'll use any narrative they can to keep that from happening. If this post-season Houston turns into a legitimized deep contender, that will change.
Regarding two other guys you mention:
If Cousins truly leads the Kings to an elite record, he'll be a candidate, but I don't see him having a serious shot otherwise.
Bosh, wow, wouldn't that be something? It's hard for me to imagine, but I could see him managing to fill some narrative sweet spot. If Miami ends up the #1 seed in the East, Bosh as MVP would be the !!! on the latest "See, this is why LeBron's not GOAT-worthy!" campaign.

That's what bothers me, if Bosh wasn't playing on a team LBJ just left, he would be getting ten times the MVP support. It seems that his accomplishments are valued less now because no one can possibly replace the Kings shoes. We are not a better team than the last 4 years, but we are more of a team now and that's in large part due to Bosh.

Oh I don't think that's a proper characterization.
As things stand right now, no one takes the Heat seriously as a title contender. As was mentioned, for the most part guys don't get MVPs if they aren't leading serious contender. Davis may prove an exception, but Davis is standing out FAR more than Bosh.
Certainly if Miami convinces they world they are title favorites and Bosh puts up MVP level numbers, he's going to get MVP standing just as he would elsewhere, except he'll also get a narrative boost that he wouldn't get elsewhere.
