I don't see hibbert opting out due to the fact he's not going to get 15 mill from somewhere else. I say he opts in to make the 15 mill

I could see him opting out for the long-term deal when if he finishes the year healthy. And, in a long-term deal, and with the cap rising in the future, I could see him getting $15m in his new deal (whether as the first year, or in one of the years after yearly raises, etc). No matter what, he's one of the top 2 or 3 defense altering players in the league.

That's what I was thinking why would he risk getting hurt next season in the final year of his deal when he can opt out then get a 5 yr deal starting at $15 million with 7-8% raises at that point he'd be set for life. If he has a good season he'll opt out. So far he's doing pretty good, let's just hope his bruised knee is not too bad and he can come back tonight or real soon.
