There is another point : you can search the hot player, but when nobody is really hot, you can also want the "hot team" player(s), the one that makes the team play at his best and better than opponent during this game, even if his personal stats are not that good at this moment.
Even if Dennis was not that good before the last minutes of the game, the team was playing good with him :
from 9-14 (4'18 left in the 1st)
to 36-34 (1'33 left before halftime) => +7
60-56 (3'30 left in the 3rd)
72-67 (7'39 left in the 4th) => +1 while making several TO's
73-71 (5'05 left)
87-80 (0'15 left before the last 4 FT's of Korver)
Each time Dennis was on the floor, ATL was better than NYK, which was not the case with Teague on this game.
