Eagles Lead Up
We'll get a look at Sanchez tonight. Casey Matthews gets the start. Big game we need to win.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I subscribe to the theory Chmura had on Homer tonight. If they win tonight, they'll lose to the Pack on Sunday and vice versa.

I don't buy into all that kind of thinking at all. Why exactly would a loss or win tonight be any sort of big factor as to why the Eagles would win or lose vs the Packers?
Regardless if Philly won or lost tonight, the game Sunday would still be extremely important to them. A win keeps them only one game ahead of Dallas and a loss makes it tied.
Who wins that game Sunday is going to come down to who simply executes their game plan better between Philly and the Packers, not some sort of physiological crap that i think players in both locker rooms would laugh at if it was brought up to them. That and if it's a really close game, a say lucky bounce leading to a key turnover or a key bad call in the last five minutes could also have a big impact.
Who would have won this Monday Night game i see as having zero impact come Sunday because there is no logical reason to believe otherwise.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
Sanchez will have a Cutler-esque game if we can get the lead early. I see him throwing a few picks with how much they throw. If we can stop McCoy and Sproles we will be fine, big if, as their WRs don't really scare me.
34-21 Packers.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
I like that Kelly now has to gameplan around Clay being inside. And of course we can move him around. Inside on some plays, back outside for others. They also have to account for Peppers. If Perry can do anything from his side we'll be in good shape defensively.

Luckily this game is at home as I believe it wouldn't be pretty if playing in Philly. They can really get after the QB and stop the run, not to mention they can light it up with anyone. They have played some just awful teams though this year and haven't face an offense like the Packers yet unless you count back in week 2 against the Colts.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
I think the packers match up really well against the eagles. Defensively, the Eagles blitz a bunch and Rodgers dominates against blitzes. I expect a lot of quick hitters to cobb and adams. Quarless may have a big game too. Defensively we have the personnel to match up with their passing game. It just comes down to stopping mccoy and getting pressure which is possible considering their O-line is not that good. Packers win 42-30 rodgers with 5 TD's!

Their secondary has gotten burned a lot this year too

for some reason this game doesn't scare me. sanchez looked good last night but CAR defense is horrible. at the end of the day, its still mark sanchez. i would be shocked if we lost this game.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
I think we found our Defensive solutions and have grabbed the momentum and we will roll undefeated the rest of the regular season taking out the Eagles Pats & everyone else up to the Lions who we beat in a close game. Then Pack marches thru the playoffs taking out 49ers and/or Hawks and/or Cardinals and take the SB
This is based on having all key players healthy.

Re: Eagles Lead Up
I don't think this will be an easy game, but we are rolling at home right now. Clay's move to ILB should help us vs. McCoy, and while I think Sanchez will continue to play well, I don't think he will make less mistakes than Rodgers.
Must win game, obviously. Have to run the table at home.

I'm worried about Sproles destroying AJ Hawk.

I don't care how good Chip Kelly's system makes Mark Sanchez look. He's still **** Mark Sanchez, and losing to him at home would be embarrassing.
It's at home, we're rolling over teams right now with our offense, and I just don't see how you lose this game. Have to keep pace with the Lions and their secondary can be burned. Maybe not a blowout, but I expect a convincing win,
31-17 Packers

That could be bad, but fortunately they've only used him sparingly in the passing game. 5 receptions the last 4 games he's played

That's partially because he was hurt for a bit. I think with his performance on MNF, they'll reintegrate him into the passing game.

If Sproles is in the game, don't even put a linebacker out there on him. If you do, let it be Clay.

Even before he was hurt, they used him mostly for running situations for two of those games I mentioned.
But I'm sure as soon as Kelly sees Hawk guarding him he'll turn Sanchez into Drew Brees

Re: Eagles Lead Up
Barely watched the game but Sanchez was only 20-37. Granted he threw for 300+ yards but he barely completed half his passes.
Carolina turned it over 5 times including 2 on their first 3 plays which led to 10 Eagles points. Sproles had a special teams TD (which may happen against us but you would hope we could effectively directional punt or just not punt at all
) Newton also threw a pick 6.
Basically the Panthers gave up a special teams TD, a pick six and 17 more points when they started inside the Panthers 42 yard line. That gave them 31 points. Make them drive down the field and see how the do. That needs to be the key for us.

Ugh. It's been banged up all year, but it's actually pretty good fyi.

He was fairly decent accuracy wise all night outside of pressing a little early and rushing some throws. We also dropped 3 or 4 catchable balls too. He definitely looked better than only completing 54% of his passes anyway.

Start from the 20 every drive imo. Don't see us fairing well against Rodgers and co.
