Tim McMahon tweet

Suggestion for Cowboys: Don't start Tony Romo vs. Giants. Use him as closer if necessary. Get him to Thanksgiving as healthy as possible.

This guy writes for espn dallas. He has actually been on espn before. How do people get these jobs?

I'm guessing he didn't watch or see anything from the Cards Cowboys game.

I wonder this myself often. I can only assume Tim has never been associated with team sports above YMCA.
Playing to win games at the professional level shouldn't be that hard of a concept to grasp.

Many tweeted back in disagreement. He basically said the Eagles game is more important and Romo will only have 3 days to heal after a late Sunday game vs the Giants. Of course he is watching the Giants in a tail spin right now, just as we are , however he thinks we have a good chance to beat them with Weeden. IMO this game is no lay up with Romo playing. The Giants offense is starting to really click. We may need 25 or more to win that game. I mean I could understand Billy JOe from Arkansas writing this but MCMahon has been around for yrs.

Did he really say that?

Was in the State semi-final game in baseball. Sat our best pitcher to line him up for the final. I'm sure you can all guess what happened in the semi-final...

Yes he tweeted it yesterday. For some reason I couldn't post it like I would on the hoop. He then went on a radio show and told his reasoning supposedly. People blasted him though for it .

Did you coach baseball or were you playing?

Half the Giants team could go down in a plane crash and they would still plays us tough. As they ALWAYS do.
There were looking damn good against Seattle for a while ..and ODB is on fire with Cruz out.

And it's a division game ...could you imagine if we Sat Romo and lost and then missed the playoffs because of the Div record?

That's true. It was almost like the guy was saying who cares about the GIants game and let's just win the game vs the Eagles with Romo. Almost sounding like it was automatic they beat PHilly if Romo shows up. I agree with him that if Romo doesn't play vs the giants he will be healthier for the eagles. I don't think either one of the games are automatics though with Romo playing. This guy has been a dallas writer for yrs. Surely he has paid attention.

Romo should be a game time decision against the Giants. If his back is stiff sit him. If he moving around ok play him.

I can understand the thought process of sitting him especially with Dallas playing the late Sunday game in NY. They won't be in bed until early Monday morning.
