Totally spaced it on the game tonight, sorry.

Hibbert is playing well early, playing through the injury I guess.

Roy is having a beast game tonight.

Copeland should shoot more.

Price has 22, holy crap.

Looks like a pretty good pickup after all.

Lavoy had a good game with 12pts and 15 rebounds!

Hibbert, Lavoy, AJ and Solo had great games. All 4 of them were pivotal in our win. The fight was once again great and it finally resulted in a W :D

Good! Pleased that Price played ok,

Roy carrying like a boss. Good to get another W - keeps spirits at least a bit high!

Just seen the Hill dunk in the middle of our fight back.

I don't want to jinx this kid, but I am beginning to think I was very wrong about him and the fact that he gets to play this season is awesome. He still doesn't really do enough, but he is getting more comfortable. Am I weird for potentially comparing him to a young Kawhi Leonard (who was also picked by Larry deeper in the draft if I am not mistaken).
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.

I'm hoping that going forward we give Roy a bigger chance to make contributions on offense like last night. Last year, he would have not seen the ball again after the first few possessions. He obviously needs to establish a rhythm and worst case scenario he'll likely get some fouls on the opposing bigs.

A lesser, Kawhi, sure. Definitely not the athletic freak, and does everything at about 75% of Kawhi, though that's not really too bad at all. But Solo has looked very nice, thus far, this season. Took a couple games to settle down and figure his role, but he's been a nice little find.

Leonard was picked late in the first but not by Larry. we'd traded the pick to the Spurs before the selection was made so it was their people and not Larry who decided to choose him. there is no way to know who we would have taken had we not traded the pick.

I was under the impression that Leonard being available was the only reason they were willing to trade for the pick.

Both. We allegedly only picked Kawhi on orders from SA to trade for Hill.

Ah that explains that, I too thought we traded him after the pick but instructions are understandable.

most draft night trades work that way. the teams make an agreement to trade the pick which isn't official until the league approves it later in the evening. in the meantime the team that held the pick selects a player the other team instructs them to take. sometimes the delay is even longer. if you remember the Bender trade, it was wink, wink for several weeks because AD couldn't be traded until after some day but Toronto followed our instructions and drafted Bender.

Yup. Wizop has good info above too. There's an embargo on trades on draft night, too. Technically, if it's not dealt by the early afternoon, the trades have o wait until after the first round, at least, to be announced as official.

Otherwise, if we were going to draft Kawhi ourselves, I doubt we would've made the deal. We would've found something else to trade for Hill.
