Interesting Byron Scott coached 2 very bad teams and got great point guards both times and his teams were awful defensively the first season and improved dramatically.

Lin is a pretty good defensive player even tho sometimes it doesn't look like it.

Thanks for the honesty.

Honestly, defensive specialist at PG position is not effective. It's better to have a wing player with length as your defensive anchor, or anyone that's 6'5" and above.

Tiny guards will end up getting picked and they can't recover or defend with physicality in the perimeter.

Lin's defensive rating this season is awful... but then so is the entire team.

I say the goal this season is to let Kobe chase after personal records, but stealth tank to keep the pick.

Forget about Byron being a great tank commander, Kobe is really helping out on that end as well apparently.

PG seems like he could be even better than Kobe... IMO.

I've been a Kobe advocate for years, but his shooting has really been a huge problem this year. It's one thing to shoot a lot but score at above average TS%, its another to shoot a lot at 48 TS%. That is Josh Smith territory bad.
