Facts or no facts, per NBA policy, Griffin will automatically be suspended by the NBA.

Idk where you got your information from but everything I've heard/read the only way the NBA can suspend him is if he is convicted or if its a felony.

Apparently it's just too much to ask to have one season without stupid drama?

There's a rumor that Blake Griffin wants to avoid the court case at all costs. If he tries to push for a plea bargain, the NBA will see it as an admission of guilt, the equivalent of a conviction. If I recall, during the 2012-13 season, this was what happened to Matt Barnes. He missed the season opener versus the Grizzlies.

I'm disappointed to hear about this. I don't know all the facts yet, so I will wait. I'll just say this, Blake needs to be smarter. Although I haven't heard of him getting into any trouble until now.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

After the **** going on in the NFL there's no way Blake doesn't miss a few games lol

Cept the NFL situations are 10 times worse then this one. In this case its just some guy trying to make a quick buck.

Agree it's still bad PR tho. I'd be surprised if he doesn't miss a couple games.

It is a misdemeanor charge. Shelbourne said that the NBA probably won't do anything because it is considered such a minor nuisance

Yup. Certainly odd. Although I don't think AD necessarily meant harm, but he definitely went way overboard.

Hope Blake is kept free

Im sure people will be up in arms especially that i am in a health care industry as a provider but Im old school in this matter.

I grew up piss poor thanks to my dad being a 10th grade drop out after beating his homeroom teacher unconscious, and never mustered more than a minimum wage job, but i remember when i was about 6 or 7, all i ever wanted was a baseball and a bat to go with it, but i never had money as i was raised by my grandmother who never bought me a single toy. one thanksgiving night i couldn't resist the temptation of seeing a plastic toy bat with 3 plastic balls with a air pump to raise the ball from the ground for months in its window display, I snuck in and stole 5 dollars from my aunt's purse. i ran down to the toy store and bought the damn thing. next thing i remember, my mother saw me playing with the toy in the yard that i didn't have before the family dinner, got found out, then was told by her to break of 12 switches from the yard. i got beaten so hard that i couldn't walk at all for the next three days let alone bleeding calves that needed medical attention ( bactrim cream and band-aid) but I'll tell you what. I never stole a thing since then. from then on it was always about hard work to earn what i want by my ownself, the right way.

I understand different people react differently from the same disciplinary stimuli, but in my personal case, it was the best thing that ever happened.

PS- although i believe in tough love, I have never spanked my own kids the way my mother did to me that day, because my kids have never done a thing that was as bad as what i did. the economical back ground changes things too. my kids never had to steal anything as what they desire was provided as long as they were good. not in my childhood. i needed that. otherwise i would have been no better than my classmates who turned out to be career criminals.

It was in a strip club. You don't take pictures in strip clubs. The guy deserved to be slapped.

Tao isn't a strip club. Guy sounded like he deserved to be slapped anyhow though.

He'll plead guilty and pay a fine.

last thing he wants to do is show up in Nevada more than once during the season.
He's supposed to be in court on a game day. Vegas in the morning. Staples at night. He won't want to keep up with that.

I'm sad he let his emotions get the best of him and he didn't exercise any self control.
the last thing I can hope for is that the guy was a D-bag and deserved it...

let's just hope this is the last of it

I have a very decorated history with Papa Griffin's (my name is QG, work with me here) belt.

As I inch closer to 30 (i have a few years to go), I look back on all of them because I remember all of them. Some of them I'm very thankful for and some of them I didn't think were necessary. Out of the ones that aren't necessary, I often wonder what my parents were going through in terms of their work, their business and their relationship. I often wonder, is it even a problem that I'm thinking about it now.

But...you know....whatever. I had a great childhood. Didn't want for much....well...wait...Didnt need for much. My parents wanted to stay away from the stigma of black folks lining up for Jordans and giving us every pair. So even though we could afford it (obviously), I was never able to rock them to school.

Funny how when I was young and didn't know any better, I thought kids with Jordans and the latest gear had it as good as I did. I couldn't have been more wrong.
