As currently constructed, this team is a 25-30 win team.

Why not have Melo get the ball immediately on the inbound pass?

Why didnt Jr just give Melo the ball? He was one on one.

F this fkn team.

We all knew going in that Phil's hands were tied this year and really could not put together a team that we knew would compete in the East. We got a little excited on that mini two game winning streak that included taking down James in his first game back as a Cav. However it was false hope just like it was for the giants with their three game win streak.

Its going to be a year to learn that Triangle and take our licks. Shouldn't be to hard to take as a NYfan as were used to sucking. Question is who on on this team will be retained behind Anthony that will be here next year to benefit from a year of learning the triangle

Who in your opinion will be retained off this team next year to start building the real team Jackson & Fisher have in mind? Thoughts?

You guys shouldn't be too down, the Magic are a pretty talented young team on the rise. We're not talking the 6ers here. Stand tall, the better team won.

At this rate, every team is basically better than the Knicks.

well if you do go up and down rosters who we play. Take out Melo.

The opposing team usually has 3 or 4 of the next best players on the court.

It happened last night with Vucivec, Harris, Oladipo (he's hurt).

And when someone like Fournier outplays shumpert we are doomed.

Look at the next game vs the Jazz.

After Melo. Hayward, Favors, Kanter, Burks, and Burke.

I mean you could possibly throw Shumpert in there being better than one of burks or burke but not by much.

Other teams just have more talent then us. Even the so called "bad" teams have more talent.

J.R. Smith's last-second whiff left the Knicks with a sixth straight loss. But J.R. would do it again. "I think we went with the best shot," he said.

Larkin is the only player on this team whose instincts to drive the ball upon catching it are even remotely on par with the average NBA guard, and Phil essentially decided to dump him before the season even started, while picking up a guy in THJ who basically doesn't want to do anything on the floor besides chuck atrocious contested 3's.

Combine that with not even attempting to extend Shump who is not playing himself into a $10m+ a year contract, and I'm starting to have doubts about whether Phil is cut out for this.

Time to trade JR. Anybody who has ever supported this guy has been proven wrong. And it's only gonna go down hill as he loses his athleticism and becomes even more and more of a one-dimensional shooter who is incapable of making shots in the 4th quarter.

If he hit the shot you all would be saying something else.

Story of JR's career. The problem is he is a choker of historic proportions and 9 times out of 10 he goes cold in crunch time.

Meh.. I cut it straight.. that's not a bad shot. His look was going to be better than Melo's with that amount of time on the clock.

It was a bad shot because it was an airball. If JR wants to identify himself as a shooter and basically waste his athletic gifts, then he needs to have some accountability for actually making his shots.

I don't agree with that sentiment. Not with a new system, new coach and injured players. I think this season above all else should be judged in increments (15 or 20 games at a time) just to look for progression, learning and growth...You don't throw away the season because of a bad start and you don't shift into win now mode because the team gets hot and the East is weak either. It's a building block year.

I'd call it a bad shot because if he chose to accelerate to the basket Fournier would be on his hip or behind him and he'd have a much better shot to tie the game but he chose to go for a game winner.

JR Smith must be traded.
Doesn't matter for who. Just get rid of this terrible player.
