Gary Payton NAILED IT about Kobe, Scott and this team

Post#1 » by leeprettyp » Thu Nov 13, 2014 10:21 pm

I think from Kobe shooting too much to Byron Scott not managing his minutes right and also including those other guys not making open shots. This is a brutally honest but 100% real take from G.P. and even as a Kobe fan I gotta admit he nailed it. There's plenty of blame to go around here.

You're right but I really think having GP on the sidelines as a voice to Kobe when he's going overboard like he's been doing is a good thing. Kobe respects Gary Payton like he did Horry/Fox/Fisher

I mean Kobe respects Byron Scott and Kobe has been basically tuning him out. Doubt there is anything GP can do...

Every solid player in the history of Scott's sideline career has tuned him out including cp when he said **** it and lot by 50 in the playoffs. Kidd tuned him out. Martin tuned him out. Kittles tuned him out. Mutumbo tuned him out and asked out after one year. Jefferson tuned him out. Peja. Bonzi, Tyson, West, Kyrie, Waiters, JR, and and co all did it.

Gary should have been our assistant. Hell half Scott's assistant coaching staff is weak and should have been replaced by guys people respect.

Scott has never been a good coach .. Frank and. Jordan were needed to salvage his message

It is what it is bro. Nothing we can do as fans. Just gotta tough it out this season and hope with all the flexibility the Lakers have going into next season can help us.

I know, right? Who knew someone could prescribe that Kobe's shooting too much?

I mean that right there--this Gary Payton guy's onto something. Someone should do a study, go back and see if this has been affecting the Lakers in previous seasons.

IDK who Mr. Payton is, but he should definitely be running a franchise somewhere.

GP is spot on here. It's great that Kobe is scoring so many points on so many attempts, but it has come at the cost of losses for the team. The Lakers only victory this year was when Kobe didn't shoot so much and the team had balanced scoring. Kobe isn't playing team ball right now.

Lakers strategy is top 5 pick (4) + Randle (3) + Rockets pick (1) + Kobe (23.5) + Young (5) + tons of caps space.

Let's hope Kobe gets as lucky as the Admiral did. We could have a really quick turn around. I've watched every game and have loved it. It's cool to see Mamba back. He is shooting too much but you can't expect a 36 year to be just as efficient after 2 major injuries. I think by Christmas Kobe will be back and I'm just amazed at the effort he is putting in. Kobe has been our best defender.

The Lakers are losing because of no D more so than poor shooting. Kobe and Davis are the only players putting in max effort.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

People are so gullible, stop listening to these idiots of why the Lakers are losing, it's plain and simple, we are losing because we have a crap roster not because Kobe is shooting too much. Even if Kobe doesnt shoot as much we still lose double figures.

lol sure it may seem thats why were losing. look at this depleted roster and the teams we played. why are the nuggets 1-6? whats their excuse? look at us last year without kobe ...why didnt they blame him then with the lakers worst season record ever. okc knows what it feels like right now without their stars.

For years I've heard Petro on sports radio. Man, he should go back to it. His face should not be anywhere near the camera.

I think he should settle into voicing cartoons and knock it off with the sports thing.

The problem extends right to the top of the organization. Kobe can do no wrong in the eyes of Jim and Jeanie. All their talk is about Kobe's 6th ring and not another Lakers championship.
