probably more of a College Basketball board topic but since no one really post there and we pretty much talk college hoops in this thread. I'm gonna leave this

Word has been that Frankamp's father called Self for a meeting between Self, Conner, and himself and wanted a guarantee on 30 minutes a game for Frankamp. Self wouldn't do that so Frankamp has decided to transfer to a school where he'll play a bigger role next year and going forward. Frankamp was going to be a spot up shooter at Kansas, not a creator or huge scorer like what Conner and his father thought he should be.

there was a "secret" scrimmage between UCLA and unlv. never heard about until now but i guess that's the whole point. no media no onlookers...just staff and players. it's not even supposed to be uttered.

anyway one onlooker just posted that kevon looney is a slam dunk to be 1done if this is how he plays, and for the record, he looks to be a monster rebounder

I remember his name being in that one and done group during the hs season and he dropped out that convo during the all star games. At ucla he should get a featured role and really showout.

Hmm sort of surprising. His high school team was average as hell and he always struck me as a guy who should be impacting the game far far more than he ever did at that level. Not really sure how to project him offensively since he doesn't really have a developed skillset.

Both commtted to UK. Briscoe reminds me a lot of Bledsoe. Both size, athletically, and overall style of play.

Skal has been a forgotten player in draft talk but there has been a lot of comparisons to Anthony Davis as well.

bledsoe's more athletic than briscoe. briscoe's pretty much a bully guard. his athleticism improved a little as he's shed some of that baby fat, but not on bledsoe's level.

Skal isn't the athlete AD is but i've seen those same comparisons. Coach Cal still recruiting well i see. All those bigs outside of Lyles and Lee should be leaving this year. Skal and Trey should be very good together.

Not big on Briscoe but i can't say that i haven't appreciated what i have seen from him. we'll see what Cal does with that backcourt. Harrisons should be gone after this year but Ulis, Matthews, and Briscoe is interesting.

ulis is gonna be there for the long haul and he's going to be very good at the college level. unless briscoe's cool playing off the ball, he should've taken that into consideration.

Yeah but Antonio Blakeney is also on their radar and there's a lot of talk that him and Briscoe are tight and Cal will not wait around for Newman to decide. Also a strong feeling that Newman wants shots and will stay home and play for one of the Mississippi schools in order to have as many shots as he wants.

sure. there was big talk about he and diamond stone being a package deal. diamond just recently released his list and didn't include UK.

Most don't feel that package comes to fruition. If it does the only option is at Connecticut.

I think these kids have tunnel vision and are only thinking nba..They see uk and think it's a magical path to be a first rounder

As a St Johns fan though I can't blame him for not coming here he'd be surrounded by garbage next year

i agree with this. not sure how you don't look at the roster that is or will be there when you sign on to a program like that. unless going to UK or playing for coach Cal was a dream for him not sure how he sees Ulis, Matthews, and possibly the Harrisons and not think minutes might be hard to come by unless he's just that confident that he can beat those guys out.

to be fair he hasnt signed yet, he just committed verbally, he said he will in spring but he wants to wait and see who leaves and who doesnt for the "perfect" fit.

that's a good idea because it may be flooded over there and something he might want to rethink once the dust settles.
