Utah & Milwaukee I'm not concerned about, those teams will easily beat us especially Utah. However I'm skeptical about Philly & Denver. Those two teams will be quite the battle for the tank, they possess great tanking skills that no mortal tanking team can overcome. We'll have to really bring our A game to be worse than them.

Minnesota I'm on the fence about because they can win but they can also lose, with Rubio going down it's legit a flip of the coin. Not to mention Wiggins motor is extremely low and doesn't have takeover the game consistency yet.

We'll just have to pray they win.

i bet a lot of us weren't worried about an oladipo-less magic

Hmm....excellent point, you're right.

Loss without Calderon.
Larkin is a terrible PG.

No discussion on this forum "does anything" in that nothing actually impacts the day-to-day operations of the NBA. Thankfully it still exists to let us share opinions.

True, but you appear to be attempting to rally support behind something that has no chance of happening. The discussion is ok, but the receptiveness is corny. Just my opinion though. Watching games and participating in game threads, but rooting for losses is weird, but do your thing man.

Props to you for voicing your opinion respectfully. I'll try to tone it down if that'd help people out.

Why would you tank, you got an owner that will spend money, you got a top tier talent in Anthony. you got location that is desireable, you got phil fricken jackson.

I understand with small markets and all, but what you need is a good Gm, Not sure if phil is or not, a good expierenced coach and a free agent period.

Even if the knicks get a top pick will they really spend the time in the gutter to develop him?

Finally an opponent that is in the league of the Knicks. Previous 6 losses, it was clear the Knicks were not in the league of those teams.

The Jazz are a little more together.

Plus, Melo ain't interested in winning anymore. Kind of wished he'd sit out half the season.

Our 2 best 5 man rotations so far this year are;

Shumpert/Hardaway/JR Smith/Melo/Stoudemire
&
Shumpert/Hardaway/Jason Smith/Melo/Stoudemire

Fish needs to concentrate on getting these groups out there more.

I have to say, I don't really get all the "tank" talk. I understand why frustrated fans may want it, but there is no chance that is what the organization is trying to do. The team is trying to win as many games as possible this season and make the playoffs. There is no commitment to playing younger players at the expense of wins, hell, there aren't even that many younger guys to even play. The second Bargs and Calderon are healthy, they will get big minutes to help win as many games as possible. Our star player wouldn't ever be on board with that philosophy. Our rookie head coach doesn't have that type of job security. The team may be terrible by accident, but in no way is there any sort of "tank" effort going on.

Agreed, but don't sell our tank short. I recognize Philly's tank looks unstoppable right now, but we can't abandon hope. Remember, the Magic team we lost to didn't even have Olidipo - we can hang with any of those teams in the tank race!

Philly's tank is clearly the most formidable, but I'm not counting out our Knicks just yet - we just gotta keep the faith!

Bargs has not done anything while on the knicks that shows he will bring a positive impact to the team. Calderon will hopefully bring a positive to the team, and I see them much better when he comes back.

Fisher is safe, his job security begins next season. There is no way he gets fired after his first year, especially when he is the true definition of a rookie coach, won't be fair to him, and Phil prob won't do that to his protege, especially giving him a team that isn't considered a team Phil built.

Some fans here just think that having a possible high lotto pick is a real good building block for the future, especially sacrificing a season where the core of the team will be gone by next summer. So I don't blame them for wanting a good piece for the future, instead of cheering on a team that over half the players won't be here next season. While some may think that it is wrong to cheer for their team to lose (which I can agree to an extent), they are doing it cause they believe that is what is best for the team in the long run, so at the end they care as much as you do, just a different way they think that is best for the knicks.
