Game 7: Cavs at Boston, 7:30 EST, FSO NBALP
LeBron James revisits the arena where his first tenure with the Cavaliers ended in ignominious and apathetic defeat. The Cavaliers look to continue to build momentum coming off back-to-back victories over the Nuggets and Pelicans, over whom the Cavs had their best offensive performance of the season with the "Big Three" scoring a combined 86 points.
Carried by Fox Sports Ohio and NBA League Pass.
Keys to the Game:
1. Continued unselfish play on offense
2. Playing team defense for all four quarters

Ignominious and apathetic? He averaged 27/9/7 that series - against a great defense designed to stop him.
That is actually the series where the Celtics were handed their worst home playoff loss ever. LeBron had 38/8/7 in that game.

Pffft. He only scored 27 points. And only had 19 rebounds. And 10 assists.
Bend the knee.

TT needs to rebound and defend. I don't care if it's a contract year.

The Cavs are actually playing much worse than they were late last year

Exciting win but my god that defense was atrocious.
Also nice to see Kyrie have one of those 'don't forget, I'm really **** good' stretches. He scored 16 in about 3 minutes from late 3rd to early 4th.

Our defense is beyond terrible. No positives from that game at all. Kyrie got hot and saved us but what an awful showing.
- Waiters playing like trash
- Miller has no impact and cannot do one thing on the court
- We literally only have 8 players that can be in the rotation
- No one can guard anything
- Anyone else besides love rebound?
This team is not a team. Depth is gonna be a major concern going forward.

I'm convinced we have to make a move something like Waiters and or Tristan for a big defensive big that can score
Maybe Drummonds or DeAndre Jordan I'm not sure who
Our defense blows
Waiters is a distraction
Tristan's defense is horrible
The bench is weak
LeBron cannot do this every night

We have completely ruined Waiters trade value. Triston's was never great to begin with. You aren't getting either of those guys you mentioned for that package. The Clippers are also competing for a championship. Drummond is a foundation piece for Detroit.

Waiters was 4-8 for 10 points. He had an assist, a block, and a steal in limited minutes.

I dunno why he rode the bench so much in the second half, this is last year all over again.

Our bench can't score and either Dion or Kyrie was going to have to come out of the starting line up. After giving him the max, it wasn't going to be Kyrie. Even the Spurs don't start Manu, Duncan, Parker, and Leonard at the same time.

Yeah I know but he barely saw the court in the second half. Harris was on the whole last quarter as didn't play very well.

Dion's my favorite player but it is obvious that the rest of the starters don't trust his shot selection. One could argue that isn't justified and that LBJ has to lead by example more regarding defensive effort and sharing the ball. Kyrie has always had an issue sharing the glory - particularly with Dion. Regardless of who is to blame, Dion needs a certain amount of touches and shots to be effective. He's just not getting that in the starting unit.
Dion's body language has sucked when he's been on the court. I don't think he's been treated fairly but I don't think that matters. He's an emotional young man but he's not helping his cause with his teammates or the referees with the pouting.
As the season progresses, I see Harris moving into the starting role and Marion returning to back up LBJ. LBJ and Love cannot continue to play this many minutes. I see Dion getting more minutes of the bench. But if he wants to play at the end of games, he's going to have to demonstrate that he will play the way the coach wants with the starters.
I think he might benefit from a change of scenery but I don't think the Cavs can get fair value for him.
