New Orleans wouldn't consider it.

However, the Suns are a mediocre streaky team capable of winning/losing any given night. There is no denying we have too many guards, and not enough effective talent at PF/C. Something has to give.
I think it will be Bledsoe.
Who here remembers the enthusiasm and excitement he had returning here? Who here remembers the months he left the organization hanging about his future as a Sun? Who remembers our front office being somewhat forced to react as if Bledsoe was going to be a temporary fixture ? .... drafting Ennis, signing Thomas. Who remembers Thomas elated to be here...Dragic saying he will opt out and re-sign.
Sure, Babby checkmated Bledsoe/Paul into the contract he has, but in the same vein, we also had to ink him to protect an asset. IMO, he is the most valuable trade piece. In both talent and contract. I could easily see a deal like the one above featuring Bled as our big chip. And don't be surprised if the Cavs/James are involved someway.

Wouldn't trading EB--McD's FIRST big trade acquisition--be considered a failure by most? For that reason alone, I doubt the Suns even consider trading EB for at least 2 more years. .

No, it wouldn't be considered a failure by most. It would be considered preserving an asset. EVERYONE understand the Suns are collecting assets in order to make trades. Even if people did consider it a failure, McD could care less. He will make whatever trade he thinks is necessary to improve the team. McD is a roster nerd. He isn't in his office reading his own press clippings. He is in his office watching tape, playing with trade scenarios, and going over numbers to see what kind of deal he can make.
