His solution for the current problem is advising Shaw to bench Faried and make Hickson the starting PF.
Only two little things wrong that. First of all, there is no way that Hickson, who wasn't better than Faried last year, all of a sudden is now.
Secondly, after the Nugz have just made Faried the highest paid player on the team, he is not going to be a starter??????????? Wow! What does that say about the Nugz brainless trust?
His next column on the team will probably be saying that AA hasn't worked out and it's time to give Gary Harris a shot at starting.
The guy doesn't know anything about basketball.

Hickson is playing better than Faried. it's clear.
He understand defensive pick-roll, and when he need to flash to the ball and recover defensive matchup.
He is better fit on Shaw's defense right now.
And on our offensive end, he sets good screens, some good low post moves and attack offensive rebound.
Better fit here too.
Faried will get about 14$ million, ok.

.
Faried just signed his big deal and McGee is getting, what, $11M?
Yet they're not good enough to play 36 minutes between them on a 2-6 team.
Not a good sign.

Have to laugh at myself a bit.
The nIght after writing this OP, Harris gets to play because of Foye' s injury and has a very good debut.
Unfortunately neither that nor the win, changes the fact that this team is going nowhere with a coach that cannot commit to a 9 or, at most, 10 man rotation for a significant number of consecutive games. I guarantee that if he keeps playing 13 guys a night for the next 15-20 games, there will be a complete meltdown of players such as Faried, AA, McGee and probably even Chandler and Gallo and Mozgov.
If Gallo is off restricted PT, the starting 5 needs to be Lawson, AA, Gallo, Mozgov and Faried all for a minimum of 30 MPG for at least a dozen games. The only guy who has to learn how to fit in with this group is AA, which should not be a problem.

Hickson & Arthur are playing better than Faried.
Mozgov (and maybe Nurkic) is playing better than Javale.
But more important, the team plays worse with Faried on the court (and maybe Javale too).

I won't disagree with the above facts.
What I WOULD like to know is what you think the reason(s) are for the way Faried is playing.
Also, do you really think that McGee has been given enough of a shot to throw him in the dust bin?
Personally, as I've said before, Shaw's mindless substitution patterns are not going to magically hit upon a winning solution.
