Ludwig is a joke. LOL at him being one of the best young oc's in cfb. He's neither young nor even decent. I think we've run on every single first down so far. Then we take out McEvoy inexplicably on 3rd and short. Wouldn't that be logically where you'd use him so you'd have a decoy/option? Then another fumble to compound.

McEvoy should have been in on 3rd and 2 and in the redzone.

The only reason Ludwig was hired was he was one of GA's boys. He had a poor rep coming in. The guy has got to go.

I agree. I didn't like that hire from the get go

McEvoy should have been in in the redzone as well. Stave throwing to a blanketed endzone is a recipe for disaster. Not throwing an INT and getting 3 points was the best possible scenario.

Nobody else saw the incredibly obvious hold on that 3rd down play?

Yup. 47 had his jersey pulled halfway down his chest. Would have gotten the QB before the first if he hadn't been held.

Yes, I called it as the play ran. Just ran back the replay and about the only thing I can say is crafty job by the tackle...might have been tough for the ref to see him grabbing jersey there.

I really haven't seen anywhere for Stave to go on any of the times Ludwig has actually asked him to throw. That's because he's inexplicably been set up by Ludwig to throw on usual passing downs. Run early, pass late. It should be the opposite, with McEvoy coming in on 3rd and shorts to give the offense a 2nd running threat.

I could've scored on that play. I'm out.

Absolutely.

That said, if they don't fumble on these drives, Ludwig probably can mix some of that in. You can make the obvious call in a sample of 10 plays and then mix it up. Unfortunately we've only run a handful of plays. It would have been nice to hit a play action early in a series to let us breathe a bit.

Stave missed Gordon running open over the middle the play he threw into triple coverage. Granted he had serious pressure on that play. That's one of my biggest issues with Stave though, not only is he inaccurate but he locks in on a read. But yeah otherwise there's not much there for him. They really need to find ways to get Gordon the ball in the passing game.

It seemed like they had finally figured out how to use McEvoy last week. It turns out they are just putting him in at random times and were getting lucky.
