Good thing you didn't draft any of them, like idk what you expect out of these guys this season. They'll have big games here and there this year, but unless they've shown enough development that a mid-season trade occurs, they'll start getting real minutes next year. Stauskas has the potential to start along side Mclemore, especially since Mclemore is a good defender and Jason Thompson is pretty sus. Caanan is a sneaky candidate to replace Beverly as a starter depending on his shooting. Zeller has the potential to contribute in 4-5 categories, so I have no idea what you are talking about, and he will be the first to start out of everyone in that group. Bennett, I just don't know, but idk what you would have to lose by picking him up.

Of course not every one of them will work out, in fact you will be lucky if one of them ends up starting. But that one starter is enough to make a big contribution.

I don't know why we're arguing about this, what does my tanking strategy have to do with the IL?

Because the current IL is part of my tanking strategy

I renounce the rights to tank commander Miles and IL Khris Middleton who is currently unowned

I have a solution for this actually. Players that aren't expected to be out for an extended amount of time should have no place in a IL spot. Stuff that is day to day or a handful of games at best.

Otherwise it is taking advantage as you can just simply off load a guy for a game or two, grab a WW guy and simply pick the injured player back up within the week.

The problem with that is what do we consider an extended amount of time? A month? Two months? etc. It is something that we should put to vote.

Anything more than a week. Players diagnosed out indefinitely are no brainers.

An example to this on some recent activity; Aaron Gordon owners would be permitted to be placed on an IL spot due to the severity of his injury.

Iman Shumpert owner's on the other hand would not be permitted. Since he is on a day to day basis at the moment.

Or if that doesn't satisfy enough, do it Baseball style in that once the player goes on the DL (IL), he stays on the DL. You cannot pick him back up for another 15 days.

15 day DL list for players who are out indefinitely but aren't expected out for months and 60 day DL for players who are out long term with horrifyingly grotesque injuries ie Paul George, Kevin Durant, Julius Randle, Joel Embiid, etc.
