I've heard that there are ways to watch an event the day after they take place.

I didn't realize this as on. Would love nothing more than to see King Mo get smashed but doubt that will happen when he is fighting a middleweight on short notice.

Mo has his chin so high that he might as well be gazing at the stars, and of course his hands are way down, so anything is possible. Plus, he looks kind of fatter than usual.

Its too bad that jiu jitsu isn't really a thing past the middleweight division. I think King Mo just contemplated going for an arm triangle choke from top closed guard.

Yikes, they just subtitled Nam Phan. He's from Cali. Needs to retire.

Aaaand Richman SMASHED Phan, hard to watch. Then points at Joe Warren and Warren was clearly flustered. Aren't they in different weight classes?

Aaron Pico is at the bellator event.

Manhoef/Schilling is literally 100% a kickboxing fight. Look at their stances.

LOL, know how I know you shouldn't be fighting mma? You just got your guard passed by Manhoef three times within 6 seconds.

The dwarf from lord of the rings just stood the fight up during a flurry of activity on the ground. This isn't mixed martial arts anymore, its c level kickboxing. (edit: not this fight specifically, probably higher than c level from the likes of Joe Schilling :D ).

I hope Mahoef wakes up, and I'm not being facetious. Wow, scary.

Speaking of falling hard in the other thread in reference to Joe Ellenberger:

Michael Chandler has now lost three in a row. I admit I once thought this guy was possibly the very best lightweight in the world. Sucks.

Chandler literally got punched and waved off the fight while still standing, then still took an ass kicking afterward. Sad moment.

He looks undersized for LW. Was a strange finish.

Go back and watch the first Alvarez fight, he looks bigger to me there (his legs especially). Speaking of parallels between him and Ellenberger...

Bonnar is clearly off the roids. Looks flabby compared to this:

Both Bonnar and Ortiz look so washed up. They should have a bowling match or something instead. lol

Bonnar's flappy tit just hit him in the face when he bounced to reset. Yea, cleaaaarly off whatever -asone or -alone that he was on in the latter part of his ufc stint.

 I couldn't watch it anymore. I signed off when the announcers were trying to sell how the fight had "matched the high expectations" blah blah blah. I would've loved to have heard Larry Merchant doing the announcing.

Well, the intros were fun....

So was that Manhoef-Schilling fight, frankly. What a chin by Schilling to keep taking those bombs, heart to stay right in the pocket after Manhoef landed one, and a Frankie fast hands technique to get the ko on the combo. I admit I'm looking forward to seeing him again. It's just hard for Bellator to market a 2-3 guy. They'd have been better off plucking him or someone like him straight from kickboxing ala Spong was. There the myth he can deal with good grapplers is believed.

The rest of the event was a lot of sadness. Those squash matches, Phan getting subtitled, Chandler not knowing where he was almost inexplicably like the wars have already taken their toll, that fight not living up to expectations, but the Ortiz-Bonnar fight doing so unfortunately. Yeah, that was a straight senior tour match. They must have tested strictly for TRT that show. They were moving in slow motion.

Their next one of these is in late February, w/ a UK vs. the world theme. That doesn't make much sense to me taking place in Connecticut or pitting them against the world. It should have been in England, as they are on Channel Five or whatever now. And there's not some kind of question if the U.K. is better at MMA than the world. Why didn't they just at least limit it to U.S. in the States? Lima grew up here, so really there's only one non American in the lineup, and it's the least important one in Soko. Not much that Bellator does these days makes sense from a long-term perspective. But it'll be interesting to see what last night's card did in terms of ratings. If it's a big rating, they're sticking w/ the format I'm sure, even though the numbers would be fleeting.

What a crazy call Herzog left to make. But clearly the right one. Those strikes were vicious. Also, WTF? Good on Herzog...courageous, yeah.

Bonnar was a huge dude, he's now got something of an old bodybuilder's physique. It's cool. I love the guy (even if he might not have a conscience).

That was actually a great fight.

Then again, you have a responsibility to justice that if you pick a fight with Tito, you smash him. It pains me so much that such an **** will get satisfaction here.

Holy Christ, that lead right hook from Schilling. Another level.

I hadn't noticed but Bern's post above alludes to it...yeah, there was a lot of brain trauma on display. A huge number of these dudes are going to age horribly. Chandler in essence had an episode in the ring. Manhoef took another face-first KO. And poor Nam Phan. :( Bonnar at least seems in good faith to have decided to step into the ring, understanding the consequences and really not needing to be there for anything other than personal valuation.

Brooks looked much bigger. I think Chandler needs to drop to 145 if he wants to stay relevant.
