Nuggets planning a firesale?

Post#1 » by OnAirDonnie » Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:59 pm

Everyone on their roster is available according to the article posted yesterday.
Faried seems like the obvious fit for the Raptors, but what would you part with?

The value of our draft pick that we have from them/NYK's value has never been higher.

Denver will ask for way too much for faried, no thanks. I'd be interested in mozgov or gallo (if he can get healthy again) but thats about it.

Edit: Does anyone have a quote on this firesale? Because i keep hearing denvers going to blow it up but i haven't heard it from one reliable source.

Faried is a great hustle player but Amir is a MUCH better player. There's no comparing the two, IMO.

Faried works in Sacramento, who has the former assistant GM there, in Pete D'Alessandro. There's a possible match.

Agreed. I wouldn't want to part with Amir - and I have full confidence Amir will want to re-sign with the Raptors...

But Faried is younger and more durable at this point.

I'm also thinking Mozgov and Chandler could fill some holes here.

For the guys who know advanced stats, could somebody find Farieds numbers this year, particularly his defensive ones, to see if his summer for Team USA had any effect on that part of his game.

Shooting 26.8% on the season. He better show something more before we take on his 2 year/23 million contract

They're hoarding so many wings its nuts. Crazy part is that the Nuggets are a 50 win team, but Brian Shaw doesn't have their ear.

The Knicks have a tonne of cap space lined up for this upcoming summer. If they can land say, Marc Gasol and Goran Dragic, they'll be good .500+ in 2015/2016. If they strike out, Raps will be pretty much guaranteed a top-10 pick.

That would be one way to destroy a franchise.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

He came back from an ACL injury. Hopefully he can bounce back to 12-13 levels if he joins our sqaud.

Yep. Was going to write the same thing.

I don't think players would want to go to New York though. Derek Fisher as a coach, Carmello's ball hoggingness, Jr Smith's antic's.

Plus I think the Knicks will wait for a premium player to hit free agency. Marc Gasol and Dragic would be nice on their roster though.

IF they strike out in free agency, oh baby...

On a scale of 1 to fragile how much do you trust Amir's ankles?

On a related note would love Faried on this team, we do have a few future draft picks as assets along with some nice pieces that could make this trade happen imo
