Off-Season Thread (Lester, What does our future hold?)

This off-season, IMO, is huge for us.
Lester can walk, so what would you like to see us do pertaining to him?
How about your offense, pitching staff, coaching staff?

Share your thoughts and opinions on the off-season and post any news you may come across.

Jon Lester will visit the Cubs for a formal meeting next week, a source tells Bruce Levine of 670 The Score.
The Cubs have always been a logical destination for Lester -- the team is in the market for a legit ace, and Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein was with the Red Sox during part of Lester's tenure there. The Cubs are one of six teams reportedly in on the 30-year-old.

Ken Rosenthal hears the Athletics are in serious talks with free agent Billy Butler.
Butler hasn't generated a ton of buzz since the Royals declined his $12.5 million option for next season, but it appears the A's are ready to change that. It's not surprising, either, that a team that puts a premium on on-base percentage and plays in a cavernous ballpark would be attracted to the 28-year-old's skillset. The deal could come together quickly.

Man, sorry I've been MIA HMFFL

I'd wager that the mass exodus of players was too harsh (as an A's fan) to post about. Donaldson, Samardija (who turned out to be a huge prick, IMO), Norris, Moss..

I agree.
I'm hoping for the best this season but so far it's not looking good.
