Henson has been disappointing lately after starting off the Preseason strong. I would off him up to New York for Hardaway Jr.
Vice President of Parker-Nation.

I have huge doubts we will trade Knight, so I won't even think up hypotheticals. However a Middleton / Henson package could be really interesting to some teams and could bring us back something very nice. Would love another 2015 1st rounder.

Phoenix? Houston? Sacramento?

New York would laugh.

So you want the taller and worse shooting version of Brandon Knight.

After watching us play without larry I want a backup big that plays remotely passable help defense and can grab a defensive board. We should have kept eric. We also lack anyone who can defend good wings but I won't hold my breath there.

Is there anyone like that who might be available? Biyombo isn't getting a ton of minutes and I don't know if he's in their long term plans anymore. Would they entertain a Henson for biyombo straight up swap? Unfortunately biyombo gets lost a lot too so I don't know if he's really the best target for something like this anyway.

Trade with KINGS --- Knight, Middleton, Ersan to SAC for Stauskus, Thompson
KINGS might give up a rookie Stauskus for young vets Middleton & Knight as they are in win-now mode. They also get a stretch 4 they wanted next to Cousins
BUCKS get another top rookie and avoid over-paying or loosing Knight & Middleton

and/or

Trade with HAWKS & WOLVES - 8 Player
MIL-IN- Teague Muscala Hummel, ///-OUT- 1st(Mil-LP), Henson, Marshall, Zaza, Dudley
MN- IN- 1st(Mil-LP) Henson, Zaza, Dudley ///-OUT- Pekovic, Hummel
ATL- IN- Pekovic, Marshall -///-OUT- Teague, Muscala

HAWKS are not going to trade Schroeder but they may Teague. With Center Pekovic, Horford can finally play PF and they get a backup PG ala Marshall.
WOLVES are not going to win with this group anyway so rebuild – move Pekovic out so Dieng gets major PT, and add a 1st, Henson and vets Zaza and Dudley
BUCKS get upgrade at PG and couple more young guys

With both trades we have starting line-up of
sanders - giannis - parker - stauskus - teague

Yeah, I've been thinking this. Gobert is the dream but I'd go for Biyombo.

I wonder if there's some type of scenario where OKC makes a"Playoffs or bust" deadline panic trade. I'd be wiling to ship them anyone on the roster (other than Jabari/Giannis) for a package centered around Steven Adams & the rights to Alex Abrines.

I still like Cody Zeller as a smart / athletic rotation big. I don't think he will be a star or anything, but I wouldn't mind adding him if Charlotte get desperate for an upgrade.

Stauskas is my current top target if I'm the Bucks. Been struggling a bit and McLemore is looking much improved. They are both pretty true 2-guards. Also, the Kings seem to be very much one of those "one piece away" wacky front offices, so they are the type of team we need to be doing business with.

I'd give up a lot for Gobert, but I just don't see how/why Utah would do it. If I'm Utah, he is penciled in as my C of the future. Utah also has a bunch of pieces, so I don't see them being intrigued by multiple decent pieces to get it done. Same goes for Minny/Dieng.

Losing hope on Schroder, as it seems he is getting more and more involved in each Hawks game.

I would look into Ennis and Warren. I'm guessing Warren is hard to get but I have to imagine Ennis is attainable. Len likely isn't, as he has looked quite nice of late and teams are going to give their top 5 pick every chance to succeed before shipping them off.

I don't think so. Henson would be perfect for us. A young defensive center that can pass and hit the J on a rookie scale?
I love Timmy, but Henson would be our best starting Center and fit perfectly next to Melo in the Triangle.
A little green, yes---but we're not getting Marc Gasol.
I really think Phil would bite.

Reggie Bullock is a guy buried on a good team I think could be a good pick up for us.

Deep coverage and analysis on Rondo and the Celtics from Howard Beck: Rajon Rondo's Resurgence Leaves Rebuilding Celtics with Difficult Decisions.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2272 ... -decisions

"They're definitely bravely saying they won't trade him at this point," said one general manager, who nevertheless added, "I definitely think it's the right thing to trade him. I think Danny knows it."

Rondo's representatives are said to be pursuing a max contract—five years and an estimated $106 million if he stays in Boston, four years and about $79 million if he signs elsewhere. His resume justifies the demand. Rondo has been one of the NBA's top point guards for the last seven years, and one of the few who can dominate a game with his passing alone.

And though his status was in doubt after tearing a knee ligament in February 2013, Rondo has recovered beautifully. Through eight games, he is averaging a league-leading 11.6 assists per game, along with 10.6 points and 8.4 rebounds. His bounce and his dexterity have returned.

"My body feels a lot better, my legs are a lot stronger," Rondo said, comparing his play now to last season, when he was just making his way back. "I can get into the paint a lot easier now, this year. Last year, I was pretty slow. So this year I'm a step faster."

Those who know him best say this Rondo looks pretty much like the Rondo who helped anchor that 2008 title team, and the one who steered the Celtics to within one game of the NBA Finals in 2012.

No team is better positioned than the Celtics to make another blockbuster trade. Ainge is sitting on a cache of first-round draft picks—up to eight in the next four years—thanks to the trades of Pierce and Garnett to Brooklyn last year, along with the deal that let coach Doc Rivers leave for the Los Angeles Clippers. Ainge has also assembled a raft of young, reasonably priced talent that could be packaged in a deal, or a series of deals, as he did in 2007.

The question becomes one of timing, a sort of chicken-and-egg puzzle: Can the Celtics find a worthy co-star for Rondo before Rondo decides to go find his co-star elsewhere?

Or could Rondo take a leap of faith on the Celtics next summer, in the belief that he'll attract the help he needs?

For now, the Celtics are simply looking for steady, measurable progress. Will it be enough to convince Rondo to stick around for the next phase? Are the Celtics convinced he's the one to lead them forward? The answers to those questions, more than anything else, will determine the franchise's future.

"This is going to be his best year of his career, I think," Ainge said, though not because Rondo is on any sort of salary drive. "Knowing Rondo, he just wants to show that he's one of the elite point guards in the NBA again. But yeah, he is a foundational piece that we already have that's right there. But there is uncertainty for this upcoming offseason."

Celtics fan here. What is the deal with John Henson why is he getting low minutes? Do you think he will traded because the Bucks have a lot of bigs?. Also I think Milwaukee would be a perfect destination for Rondo but I doubt he goes there.

Does Minne do this because they instantly regret the extension they just gave Rubio, or because they enjoyed the process so much, they want to do it again with Knight?

And that is a lot to give up for PJIII to back up Giannis and Parker.
