There was more attention paid to that game than any Wizards or Bullets game in history...

Well. I'll give you that we both root for awful, woebegone franchises. But we do have a championship banner... And we don't have to live in Cleveland.

Yeah I went to DC once. A guy tried to pull a knife on 10 of us. Great city...

Menudo sold more albums than John Coltrane. McDonalds sells the most burgers. Dramatic banality is always a big seller.

PS: Wizards never amnestied Arenas. They traded him.

If anyone is still paying Arenas it's the Magic.[/. Thank god Miami maxed Bosh this year. 2/17 and 5 rebounds against the Bucks for Bosh tonight.

You guys amnestied him. So you'd pay whatever they didn't. Hell of a signing that was. Can't say anyone outside of Washington thought maxing a dude coming off a knee surgery was a good idea. Thank god Miami maxed Bosh this year. 2/17 and 5 rebounds against the Bucks for Bosh tonight.

Perhaps you should fact check before making yourself look like a fool with your feeble attempt at trash talk.

Hah! The fun part is this is one of the rare Ernie moves that worked. We traded him for Marcin Gortat, essentially. Arenas = Rashard Lewis (trade) = expiring contract traded for Okafor & Ariza (both gave us good production until Oke's leg gave out) = traded Okafor's insurance protected expiring contract = Marcin Gortat, who has been a pretty steady double double machine now on a reasonable contract that will last deep into the new TV contracts when team payrolls figure to explode.

By contrast Cleveland's deep brown hole of suck landed a big bag of dogdroppings in draft picks. Landing, come on, Anthony Bennet? and half of the 'best back court in the league' in Dion 'didn't start in college, doesn't start in the NBA' Waiters, and the solidly mediocre Tristan Thompson. Really? You had Jonas Valanciunas right there and went for the Canadian kid? (And Bennet too, from Canada. Whats the deal with that, eh? If you' re picking players born in Canada, pick hockey players, not basketball). The consistent circling of the turd bowl that was Cleveland's annual trip to the lotto, ended up granting you only a one year rental of Kevin Love (sounds like he has feelers out in a few different directions). And even then only after LeBJ makes a stop back home to pick up a few things before the Big Money shows up in a few years to draw him to New York or LA or wherever he feels he can gather enough syncophants and followers to sufficiently massage his swollen bloated ego.

No no no. You're doing it wrong.

This is the trolling thread. Insult a Cavs fan if you have to but for hecks sake if you're in here find something funny and mean to say. Come on, you're from Philly, I know you can do it.
Topics:
LeBron James' phantom hairline.
At least the 6ers aren't the Knicks, they're intentionally sucking.

Don't get me started on Dallas. One soulless subdivision after another, major arterial roads racing past houses with their backs to the public realm, sheltered behind privacy fences.

The galleria. Yuck.

The Cowboys... Preening, shiny pants, prima donnas playing on fake grass, in a gaudy stadium located in a placeless parking lot next to a large highway leading to another highway to another to another finally terminating on a depressing strip of Circle Ks and strip clubs where ten gallon hatted losers in ropers and wranglers go to eat steak and watch jiggling flesh in the daytime (well, that part doesn't seem so bad).

Jerry Jones. Oswald. Ruby. Highland Park snobs. Ursuline girls. Ebola.

Need I go on?

... Gotta say though, despite it all, I kind of like the Mavs and think Cuban is ok.

The Mavs' new alt uniforms look ridiculous -- featuring a skyline that only Dallas residents and architecture majors can recognize. I thought it was a random collection of rectangles until someone pointed out that it's supposed to represent specific buildings.

Nothing good comes from Dallas.

1. Clevelan are playing the Wiz. HAHAHA get it? Cause they don't play D, and I didn't put a D in their cities name!!

2. Wizards are lucky as fawk. Eeking out wins against the dregs of the east. +2.3 points/100, yet are 7-2. Try not to cry too much when they come falling back down to earth.

3. House of Cards, and Murphy Brown are bad TV shows, as are various other TV shows set in DC.

1. Top 7 in defense so far this year. Top 5 last year.

2. You're right. Without our top 2-guard and our back-up swingman we've had some trouble fitting HOFer Paul Pierce next to NBA dregs & reclamation projects Garrett Temple and Rasual Butler. Interestingly both players have suddenly hit for career high 3FG% playing next to John Wall. As did Ariza, and Martell Webster behind him. Seems like a trend, that may look better and better as Otto Porter develops and as we get back, oh yeah top 3 pick SG Bradley Beal, and the aforementioned Webster, etc.

3. Right, absolutely. Stacked up against all the shows set in London Ontario.... Hmmn, okay Toronto... Jeez, well how about Canada which... wait... hmnn... still thinking...

Okay these guys are pretty funny:
Image

I guess you only write what you know. Drunken trailer trash lowlife stoners are a topic y'all have cornered.

Also: Murphy Brown? Is Canada stuck in 1988? (You couldn't have gone with something more recent like Scandal? or Homeland? Or no, I guess you couldn't, since you're talkin' about suck).

But since we have a time tunnel to the late 80's: Hello 1988! You have a lot to look forward to coming up, the Berlin Wall will fall next year, the world will discover a global communications network called the 'World Wide Web' which will soon connect people from thousands of miles away to give them instant free access to information and knowledge (by which I mean 'porn' and 'inane sports conversations with shut-in Canadians who have really nothing better to do with their time'). In important Canadian events, embarrassed to be associated with the country, the province of Quebec will try to gnaw their way out of the leghold trap that is Canadian citizenship, it doesn't work, but oh well, poutine for everyone.

In other relevant events in Canadian history since 1988, um.... I'm coming up with nothing, sorry, this is so hard! Let's try again. Nope! Even that world wide web I mentioned is choking on the concept. I guess you know 'Canadian' and 'relevant' are something of an oxymoron.

Cool idea for a thread. I don't really have many insults or trolls to pass out sadly.

Tho I guess I could thank you guys for giving us Tough Juice, Haywood, and DeShawn for the corpse of Josh Howard which provided some key pieces to our championship run. The problem with trash-talking about it, of course, is that the deal helped you guys as well.

Our teams have always worked well together on deals--even this year where we cooperated on the S&T for Blair.

Ahhh screw it, I'm getting in the spirit of the thread. DeShawn has a question for you clowns to answer after the game tonight:

I'm not worried. We know the Mavs' Achilles heel:

I wonder if we could introduce one of Toni's nieces to the current squad.
