I was hoping we'd give him a look, he's better than Price.

I'll take him over the other players we've worked out lately.

You guys ever hear of a team doing so many workouts mid-season?

Maybe it was always this way and we just have more coverage of it, but I find it interesting nonetheless.

As soon as DAL cut him loose for Barea, I was thinking the Lakers should go after him. Probably should sign him instead of Miller.

It sounds like they're auditioning everything from PGs to centers. I think we might looking into cutting multiple players:

X, Price, Sacre....

This guy isn't bad but Price is a veteran and this guy is a sophomore. If they cut Price and sign him, that means they're giving up the season?

I really think X is gone. Is Price's contract fully guaranteed now or still partially?

I wouldn't necessarily say that we wre giving up. Price has been decent at best. With that said, price probably wont get cut until a replacement proves that he can be better consistently. Im thinking that AJ Price will be another option once the pacers get watson and hill back and the pacers have to go back to a 15 man roster.

Any chance Wes gets cut in favor of quincy miller?

You realize that if the difference between giving up and not giving up is Ronnie Price, and your record is 2-9, then the season's probably already lost, right?

 But he just had that dunk the other game!

Agreed, can't imagine Mekel play well consistently this year.

Um......it depends, it's been a brutal stretch without Young. If they start Davis it might be turned around if Lin plays consistently and Kobe doesn't chuck too bad. But on the other hand, why turn it around? It's just real unfortunate that the West is so good, making the playoffs is basically impossible. And then there's the protected pick which makes it really a tough question. It's more about the direction the FO wants to take. Veteran vs potential. Obviously Mekel isn't any world beater this season, there's no reason the Mavs would cut him and no other team is interested. If Price, who is experienced and serviceable, is cut in favor of him, around 15 minutes of PG play would be up in the air, most likely with a lot of growing pain.

I think we keep Price. Can't afford to lose our second and only back up point guard on the roster.

I read a report if Quincy Miller is signed, X is gone.

If anyone else should be cut, for me its got to be Ryan Kelly.

We have two players out for the year. Need all the help we can get.

Hmm, IDK. Kelly's not on a minimum deal and he's guaranteed past this season. I doubt they cut him just for short-term relief.

Ok then. Maybe just wishful thinking from me. I'm already settled with Kelly being a bust and can't get on the court.

This mid-season look at more talent looks like a desperate attempt to salvage the season while it's still early. Management must know they need better talent so they have to do something.
