Given the way things are going, how much blame should TC get

Ian Thomsen, NBA.com: Evan Fournier stepped in for Orlando’s Victor Oladipo (who recently returned from injury) and proved to be a versatile scorer and playmaker. Fournier is seven years younger than Arron Afflalo, for whom he was traded; and he’s providing better shooting and production than Denver is getting from Afflalo.

Fournier: 17.3 PPG on 12.5 SPG on FG% of .480, 3PT% of .509

Since Connelly and JKronk had to believe that the "future is now" in making that trade as well as in paying Faried the big bucks, I wonder what they are thinking about the way Shaw has the team playing offense which is, as far as I can see, the primary reason for Faried's relative ineffectiveness.

Still a long season.

Orlando sucks and they don't have a lot of other scoring options, whereas Denver sucks but AA has to share the scoring load with a bunch of other players. Plus I don't know what Vaughn's offense looks like but with Shaw wanting to feed everything into the post, it's going to limit AA's touches. Notice that Fournier didn't put up amazing numbers under Shaw either.

This looked like a good move at the time and I don't recall anyone second-guessing it. So if I'm gonna blame TC for mistakes, this one wouldn't be high on the list at all, if it even made the list.

TC didnt inherent a great situation. with GK and masai ujiri leaving, there was a lot of discontent among the players causing players like Iggy and Cbrewer to leave. I'm not a fan of the 2013 draft moves. Rudy Gobert has monstrous potential and worth much more than the cash considerations and backup pg that is Erik Green. Im also frustrated with the constant selection of foreign big men projects in the past two years (Jusuf Nurkic, Jeoffry Louvrene, and Nikola Jokic)

Four wasn't gonna get the same minutes AAA is. Foye would be starting and Fournier would be buried on the bench. I'm happy for the Evan but I'd rather have AAA

I am a big fan of both players but I am not sure that you can say that Evan would be better for this team right now. AAA brings far better defense, leadership and consistency. Stats may lean toward Fournier now in part because of Orlando's needed scoring presence, but unless he really makes a big leap, it will be hard to surpass the impact that Afflalo has on the team.

It was obvious that Fournier was not going to be able to fit the role that Shaw was trying to force him to play, he just is not that type of player, Afflalo is closer to that type of player and is a better all around player right now. If the Nuggets were going to keep Shaw than they had to find a way to get a player that could be an upgrade on Foye and would fit what Shaw wanted.

I blame TC for a lot of issues, but traded Fournier for Afflalo was about the only thing he could do in this situation.

I don't really disagree with the above but I will say that AA is somewhat overrated defensively and I bet Fournier will get better in that area and I'd bet that 2 years from now Fournier will be the better player.

Also, it is hard to correlate Connelly/JKronk and Shaw being all that much on the same page with the direction of the team in making the AA trade and at the same time giving Faried the long term big bucks contract, given the fact that Kenneth fits in even less with Shaw's style and the way he is so obviously out of place in it does nothing but reduce his trade value.
