He's better than LeBron James

Oh that's right, I forgot about Steph Curry. He might be the favorite for it. He has the numbers right now: 25 PPG, 6 RPG, 8 APG, 2 SPG.

After win 68 he might get honorary mention in some' s top ten lists. Over here in the North he's really got nothing to prove any more. He's got so much damn pluck it's scary. He may very well will us to the ECF and beyond if we could just get some clutch performances around him when it counts.

He's right up there after AD and Gasol (Marc)

I would say he's in the bubble, if he keeps playing the way he's playing while upping his overall numbers, well then he will definitely be in the conversation.

can't win, but top 5 is possible. his minutes will work against him, but record matters a lot.

I just want to see him get the ASG+All-NBA combo.

Of course. There are still better options, but he's one of the best players in the league and has been since last season.

Yup. If the team keeps this up, he may even be one of the leading candidates. Look what Kidd did when he went to NJ and look at his numbers. He was looked at as a prime MVP candidate. Didn't win it though. I can see Lowry getting some high recognition as well like that. I think point guards are regarded pretty highly when it comes to these things. That being said, Steph Curry is the leading candidate so far.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Hypothetically, if we finished with the best record in the East, he'd probably be top 3. I think it would take a 60 win season to make him the leading candidate.

LOL did you see LeBron get scared and lose the ball at the end of the game yesterday? Always has and always will be a scared little punk.

If for some reason the raps have the best record in the east(rose injury, cavs taking too long to gel, wiz being the wiz) than he should be in the conversation.

If we stay on this pace, he deserves to be in the conversation. I don't see him winning, but he deserves a mention.

If this team can somehow manage to finish 1st in the East, and Lowry remains healthy throughout, he could have an actual realistic chance at winning it.

I definitely think he deserves a mention.

Without looking up stats, my quick short list would be:
(in no particular order)

Stephen Curry
LeBron James
Anthony Davis

You'll notice Harden is not on my list.
I love James, but I watch a ton of hoops, over 2 games per day and all of the Rockets games this season. He is NOT an MVP candidate. And I will not put a player on this list when he plays virtually no defense and shoots less than 40%FG and less than 30% from beyond the arc. C'mon!

Although I can't stand Howard, he's probably playing as close to his DPOY status this year as he did back when he played in Orlando.

Not that I don't think he will be by the end of the year but at the moment Lebron is not an MVP candidate.

Curry or Dirk for me, with an outsider chance for Davis. And if not an MVP award, I'd be surprised if he doesnt win MIP. He has grown in leaps this year so far.

Lowry might not be in the MVP conversation, but he better not get jobbed again out of the all-star game.
