What's with Gallo's PT?

Prior to the Knicks game, Chris Dempsey wrote that Gallo's minutes restriction had been lifted yet in that game, where the team again played quite poorly, he got only 14 minutes. Then, after Shaw said he definitely would not play in the back-to-back against the Cavs, he did play but only a paltry 8 minutes during which he was mostly not included in offensive plays.

If he is physically fit, in all ways, he absolutely needs to get 25-30 mpg every game he plays, whether or not he starts.

That's your answer.....while he's been ok'd to play, he really hasn't shown the physical/basketball skills he had before he was injured, he has to get those back with time and I don't think he really ready yet.

He has not looked the same at all. I am hoping that it is just a confidence issue with his body, but so far this season he looks like a shadow of himself.

He looks flat, no quickness, his shot is off, and he isn't driving forcing the pace on his opponent anymore. The best thing about Gallo was his ability to get to the line. I really thought that helped us, when our offense flow was shot, or when we just needed to take a step back and slow the game down.

Really hope he can get back to what he once was. Doesn't help either that Shaw changes the lineups daily, and has no true rotation set.

I don't particularly disagree with either reply. I do think, however, that in order to "get there", he needs real game time minutes not just practice.

With the way this season has started I believe that Shaw's job is on the line, he is not going to go out of his way to let guys like Gallo and McGee get completely healthy and back into shape to play bigger minutes as he needs all the wins he can get.

hes shown flashes but hes been playing washed up thus far. even when he was healthy, he was a inconsistant shooter and it seems his shot is at a all time low now. when he gets healthier, he'll be a good player off the bench

Gallo always seems to take a couple of weeks up to a month to get back to normal after he returns from an injury, but right now I am not really sure if he will ever be the player he was.

I do not agree with the last 2 posts by Rebel and Stunna. I don't even think that Rebel's post about Shaw being concerned with winning every game right now to save his job is that accurate.

In Gallo's first half segment, he got plenty of PT and hardly had any touches. He'd move around, be open at times and none of his teammates were paying any attention to him. In his 2nd half time it began the same way and then toward the end , it all changed, with him getting three 3 attempts in a couple of minutes and finally hitting the last one which was an important one in staving off OKC and more so for him.

Despite not being involved in the offense, Gallo was hustling all the time on D and looking good doing so.

WC had a very good game and Arthur had another good one. Even so, I think that the Nugz will benefit more from having an offensive threat like Gallo playing as much as, and in frequent doses, together with WC. Between them, they can cover most NBA PFs and give most SFs problems. With WC seeming to finally be willing to be more assertive in his offensive game he and a healthy - which he clearly looked to be last night - Gallo could be a fairly dominant duo.

Im just as much a fan of danilo as the rest of you, but i cant sugarcoat the obvious anymore even though denver is my team. prior to his injury, danilo shot 41% for 5 consecutive years and guess what hes shooting this season... 26%. saying he hustles and plays d is a broad statement. i used to think danilo was better than gordon hayward but i wouldnt even entertain that idea now. hes playing like a bum and im sure he knows it. if he wants to start and get more time, come of the bench and light it up. if hes really starter quality, then he should have no problems scoring. thats what sixth man are suppose to do

Sorry, guy, but there is only one description of the bolded comment above and that is PURE HYPERBOLE.

If you watched the OKC game and were unable to recognize the very solid D he played then I personally cannot regard your opinions with any credibility. That also goes for his being almost totally ignored by his teammates for nearly the first 2/3 of his PT in that game. The ONLY way he is going to get back to anything close to normal is to be given the opportunities to shoot the ball and be an integral part of the offense when he is on the floor.

EVEN IF the only purpose for that is to showcase his attractiveness as a trade chip.

Eh, I would say months even. Gallo looked good today, but we should all know not to get our expectations too high until closer to January.
