I just still am under the effect of the Love trade. I still can't believe Flip pulled it off. I never stopped being positive from the moment that trade happened. All of what's happening now are just small bumps on the road.

It's funny how people say Bazz has one offensive move...it just so happens that move is awesome.

JimPete brought it up on the broadcast that on one play Acy knew what was coming, but because he knew, he reacted too quickly and ended up fouling Bazz.

As Pete put it, knowing the scouting report on Bazz actually worked against him.

It's just interesting how people think of it. They think that everyone knows Bazz's move and will be able to stop it because they know it's coming.

If you have a young player with one killer move, that basically works whether you know it's coming or not, that is a GOOD thing. Obviously you don't want him to only have that one main move forever, but hell if you can have a signature go to move THAT WORKS as often as it does for Bazz. That's a great thing to have for a young player imo.

Kind of like how Wiggins is developing his step back, it's nice to see a player have a move they are extremely comfortable with and are able to execute just based on muscle memory.

Excited to see Bazz get more run, because besides violating a stupid rule about not getting laid, he has been nothing but an extremely hard worker and has kept a great attitude even through a tough rookie season (remember how DWill cried about playing time?).

He seems willing to earn everything that he gets on the court and it's nice to have a coach that will actually positively reinforce that type of play.

I was sitting at summer league this last year talking to some Kings fans on the first day. I asked them if they were excited about DWill (they were lol) and they mentioned the Love trade (it was in rumor stages still). I said "No Wiggins, No Love" they went through the normal "Wolves have no leverage, blah blah blah" and then when the game got going, they all sort of joked about Bazz. "He was the #1 prospect coming out of high school!?!" or "He's still in the league?"

I mentioned that he actually played well in his limited time in his rookie year and Adelman didn't give him any minutes. Nice to see Bazz keep grinding like he has, so that when he finally got his shot, he was ready to take advantage of it.

TL;DR Kings fans lol

I wish the Timbertrolls would make a Bazzfest Club video next.

Another thing about Shabazz that I like. As Klomp said before, he isn't like any player we are used to seeing. If he can truly master the things he seems very good at, offensive rebounding, post game, and war house effort in the paint, then we would have a very unique player. If he masters those skills, and is better at them than any other player who plays his position, then he will carve out a spot for himself in the NBA for a good long time. A player that doesn't fit the mold can be a very good thing if they are elite at doing what they do. A lot of wing players are simply not accustomed to playing against guys with a great inside game. Flip seems to love sending Bazz out there as the "Problems" guy who just messes your flow up because these players don't really know what to with him. If you are matched up against Shabazz you are going to have to work because he will take advantage if you dont and hurt your team.

Maybe Shabazz cane be what I used to call a cockroach player. Guys just get in your hair and muck up the game for you in some way. Usually its guts who are super scrappy and defensive minded but really its any player who know isn't a star but you always worry about them because they have a knack for derailing your team. In the past a guy like Ruben Patterson was what I considered a great cockroach. I want Shabazz to be the guy that just pisses other fans off.

I think that is a great comparison and it's one that I've used for him before as well.

It is strange. It's a little ironic that after years of being terrible it took a trade for us to get a number one pick. I never thought we'd get a number one pick and certainly not via a trade.

If this wasn't the positivity thread I'd mention Michael Olowokandi.

I'm just talking about the post-KG era wolves. It is a little ridiculous that a team as bad as we've been for the first 25 years has never had a #1 pick of our own.

I think he meant still in the wrapper, with that new #1 pick smell.

The Atlanta Hawks, my other team, have never had a #1 pick either. The only one we did have...the guy chose to go to the ABA and when the ABA went into the NBA somehow the Hawks didn't have rights on him. He's just a HoF player. Sigh.

Well, certainly going to see a lot more playing time for the young guys. Which is cool I guess.
