Once he can get where he wants to go on the floor without a pick/screen...oh man

floor is Batum.

this is asking a lot, not even our all star DD can do this LOL.

I know, this ability is developed by players with superstar potential ;)

His play reminds me of Giannis. Especially that block. When he develops good ball handling ability watch out NBA! :D

He should be used for spacing and for games when Raps fall behind. He can hit threes anything else is gravy

JV/Amir/Stiemsma/Hayes/Bebe
Amir/PPat/Hans/JJ
Ross/JJ/Caboclo
DD/GV
Lowry/Lou

Bebe and Caboclo earned garbage minutes in every other game at least.

Needs a better understanding of defensive positioning. Overhelps 1 pass away too much...that'll get better with time.

Ironically Bruno and Giannis are opposites. Giannis is comfortable ball handling/playmaking and not outside shooting, and Bruno, vice-versa.

Giannis = Hot Sauce
Bruno = Brazilian Durant
Raptors + Drake = Trophies

I don't want to get too excited, but Bruno scored more points in his rookie debut than Kyrie Irving. Now this doesn't mean Bruno is a lock to be a better offensive player than Kyrie, but it's a pretty good sign.

Bruno's situation is kind of similar to Amir Johnson's coming into the league. Young teenager with a great physical profile playing behind a pretty stacked rotation on good teams.

Hopefully practicing with good vets, and a defensive coach/squad helps Bruno's defense long term like it did Amir's.

and hopefully we end up winning a championship like that pistons team, and he doesn't become a regular contributor on another team like amir...

Not like it's a lot to go off of but I'm so impressed with how radically fast Bruno is improving. In Summer League the kid looked like he was playing basketball for only 2 months. In preseason he had gotten so much better understanding where he needed to be on offense and defense (even though he still helps one pass away all the time). This game he actually looked like he fit in.

His ability to take in information and process it is so shockingly fast.

Most of the time s I've seen photos of him not at a game he's got that big smile on his face. My nephew has a really nice photo with him and the hundre d watt smile is in full effect. I hope, however, that he never smiles in a game. Ever. We've never had one of those intense superstars who doesn't lose focus even for a moment. He's our Duncan.

Watching that clip was kind of like watching the final game scene of this sort of popular sports movie... what's it called... where the crowd at Notre Dame is chanting "Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!" and then he gets in there and makes his one big play and everyone in the theatre jumps out of their seats, fist pumping in every direction, and grown men not even trying to hide their tears.

What an unbelievable thing we have going on right now...

Could be that he just appreciates the opportunity more than others who have been hyped up from an early age and he takes everything very seriously. He has a certain intensity about him during games and I suspect it carries over to practice. His demeanor and his physical tools are going to make him an all-star.
