This Mavs team is almost as deep as the championship one 4 years back.

thinking about it now, i wonder what team actually tries to trade FOR rose… sticky situation...

Rose for Deron best deal for both teams

Lol LeBron. This is some unacceptable stuff. His leadership has been poor so far in Cleveland. Did the same thing after missing a layup the next possession.

People underestimate how much Dwayne Wade helped procure and nurture his leadership skills in Miami. Wade would take a lot of pressure off of LeBron. Now that he's not there and he has to take all the burden (as Irving is too young, Love is no winner), he's already feeling the burden in Cleveland. Plus, Blatt the Bastardface doesn't belong in the NBA and especially not out there to coach the most talented team in the NBA (talent-wise).

LeBron is a great player - but his mental game has always been lacking.

No sympathy from me. Bargs, Fields and Hedo have made fortunes of the Raptors.

espn so sad… showing stats of west beating up on east teams… and saying only win was raps vs grizz and the grizz had so many people out so they probably just ran out of gas…

I'm digging them. And would be happy to see them go all the way (assuming not the Raps of course). Dirk is awesome. Good ownership, and coaching/management. Plus I'd like to see Ellis trash talk Wade. hehe

Recap of tonight:
-Nobody on the Raptors plays more than 28 minutes, starters all rest in the fourth quarter, ready for tomorrow.
-Lebron, Irving each play about 40 minutes and still lose
-Chicago getting business handed to them by Portland

It was a good Friday.

I predicted a Spurs & Mavs WCF before the season started. However, this Mavs team is no where near as good defensively. A couple Mavs fans on the GB said Carlisle let Casey control their entire defense that year.

They rank 14th currently.

They ranked 7th in 2011.

They probably had better defensive players in 2011. Not all on coaching.

They're also missing two of their best defenders in Caron Butler and Marion. I could see them in the WCF but I'd put my money on Spurs vs Memphis with Portland creeping into the picture.

Spurs are a matchup nightmare for the Grizzlies. They'll beat them very easily imo. Blazers are good but not WCF material. The biggest threats to the Spurs are the Mavs & OKC. Those 2 teams matchup well with them.

Personally, I've been saying it since the off season, the Spurs will repeat. Despite all this talk about the west being so tough, it's never been weaker at the top in terms of the true "elite" teams. Spurs are the only true elite team in the league imo.
