I thought it would be fun to incorporate a Under/Over game in the game threads. I'd love to make that a "usual thing" for all the game threads from now on. Let me know what you guys think about that? Anyways this is how it works..

. Each game day whoever creates the game thread chooses what kind of under/over prediction they want to come up with.

. Guys on the board can choose whether they think it will be under or over BEFORE the game starts.

. I will create a separate "Over/Under" thread for us to keep track and see who finishes in the lead with the most correct predictions at the end of the season.

Anyways, just let me know what you guys think about this. If you don't like it we can just scrap it and stick to the usual game threads. Here is the first under/over prediction..

Kyle Korver will make 4 three point shots tonight. Under or Over?

Also if Korver finishes the night with exactly 4 made three point shots then the under/over prediction results in a "wash" and no one gets a win or loss. I'm going to go with over 4 made threes for tonight though.

Probably so, 5-6 isn't the worst, but don't want 3 L's in a row.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Tonight is going to be a tough game. We are going to have to shoot well in this one since Millsap always struggles against lengthy frontcourts and Horford now plays like a little girl.

I'm hoping for a win but not super confident in it.

I will play along with the over/under game.

I have to go under on that one. I think a more fair line would have been over/under 3.5. He's only made more than 4 in 2 out of 10 games thus far and averages 3.2 per game.

Considering the Pistons are 3-9 this should be a W. But we just lost to the 1-9 lakers sooo, for that reason I'm calling this one a must win.

I will be paying close attention to the Nets tonight. This is a big game for them with the shcedule they have coming up and a game against SAS on deck tomorrow. Lose tonight and they almost certainly start the season 4-9 with a very tough 13 game stretch ahead of them. I watched their game against Milwaukee and Brook Lopez looks terrible. We should all be hoping that he stays healthy all season and plays as many minutes as possible.

They have played a pretty tough schedule so far. They are also still learning how to play with each other under SVG. The Minny and Orlando losses are probably the only unexpected ones out of the 9.

Well it's a given when you go against a front court like the pistons you are going to be destroyed on the boards. However, If we can come out hot and have a good 1st half AND 2nd half then I think we can pull this one out.

I wouldn't quite say Horford plays like a little girl. He clearly isn't the same player, and has undoubtedly struggled to regain his full form. But it's been only a month since he started playing full blast. He still leads all starters in FG% and PER.

So he's not all the way back yet, but he's not a train wreck.

Our struggles have been related more to defense and rebounding as a team. As well as struggles of our bench wing players.

With all that said, I predict tonight is a blow out victory for us where the whole team comes together and plays well as a unit.

Glad to be up by 9pts.

I wanted to go to this game to see Josh Smith in person again but it didn't happen.

Let's get the win.

Horford has been hitting his shots but he has most certainly been a trainwreck in certain areas. His complete lack of effort at times makes him deserve the title I gave him.

Nice to see we can win a game when our 3-pt shot isn't falling. Solid showing showing on the boards, though the number is skewed a bit by one possession with like 4 off rebs. We allowed double digit offensive rebounds to DET, but did not allow them to dominate.

JT0 had a very good game.

Thabo had a big rebounding night, but he struggles offensively when he comes off the bench.

This was a game we absolutely should have won.

Nice to take one of these and move up in the standings.

Solid effort all the way around tonight. We definitely shouldn't have let them back into our 19 point lead but when push came to shove our squad pulled away again late.

Jeff Teague had a legit all star performance tonight. I'm still sticking to what i said before the season started that he could be a dark horse contender for the all-star game.

Schroeder had a so-so night. One thing that I've noticed is that he seems to reliant on that scoop lay-up of his. Thats not always going to work him for him every night. I really wish he would expand his driving game and add a floater or something.

The 3 ball was awful for us tonight. Our guys definitely rely on it way too much to.

All in all great win tonight. This was a must win situation in my book and we got it done.

Side Note: what did you guys think about Monroe tonight? Does he still look like a guy worth pursuing this next off-season?

Great question!

I absolutely think he'd fit in here and thrive in our system flanked by our shooters. I can see him having an impact comparable to AL Jefferson last year in CHARLOTTE.

Defensively is where I have questions about his ability to guard the PnR, defend in transition and challenge shots in the paint. But scheme and team 'D' should be enough to compensate just so long as he even attempts to play defense.

I absolutely want to pursue him. But admittedly, would be hesitant to give him max money. Maybe a 3 year deal with a Player Option for $13 million per year...similar to what AL Jefferson received.

With Jefferson, Millsap, M Gasol, Asik all on the market, there will be plenty of high caliber big men available. Perhaps this would be enough to keep his costs down.

Good game Hawks. I was surprised the Hawks were pretty close to the Pistons in rebounding, Pistons only had more rebound.

Hawks getting Monroe would be a lateral move. Better off keeping Horford - cheaper and play better defense. It's not like Monroe is that great of a rebounder.

I was under the impression that if we got Monroe it would mean Millsap out? I'd only be okay with Monroe at the C spot and slide Horford to PF not Monroe at C and Millsap at PF.

I think this is the first time that the Hawks beat the opponent in the rebounding battle.

I think Carroll's rebounding and defense does alot more then what the box score indicates.

Great win. always good to see Jeff Teague be aggressive and go off, he's been doing a lot of that this season.
