I am seriously hoping that 20 years from now i will be able to say "I remember seeing Bruno score his very first basket" and to have complete strangers shake their heads in amazement. "Wow. Really? You saw Bruno's first basket? Incredible."

actually, he's missing a lot of what giannis possesses… namely, ball-handling, speed, lateral quickness, co-ordination, passing vision, vertical… the thing about bruno is he just seems really really slow to react… he just seems really slow footed… like he'll try to go one way, and as soon as he has to recover and go another, he just physically can't… for example, i remember in the chicago game, james johnson went to contest a shot or something, and when the ball swung over to the post, he quickly recovered and rotated over the the guy in the post… like he was just super fast at moving his feet and reacting… bruno doesn't have the ability to change directions it seems… it's like he just gets stuck… once his momentum carries him one way, it's over for him…

Overall, the game does seem to be moving too fast for him, but that's normal for most rookies coming out of the NCAA. So I can only imagine what it feels like for Bruno, who just turned 19.

With that said, that block he had on the fast break did prove that he does have at least enough quickness to compensate his length to make impact plays. If I remember correctly, that was on a fast break and he had been turned somewhat inside out.

It'll come with time.

The man that Bruno's game reminds me of was in the building last night.

Ersan Ilyasova

Similar build, similar mobility, somewhat similar game.

If he can be a better version of Ilyasova (especially defensively), then he will be a useful player for us. Still not sure if he will end up being a SF though. Probably a bit of a tweener 3/4.

He has a ball handling, he has a better verticale, so I am not sure if he is just a role player as everyone think here. I think he can be at least a borderline starter.

If anything, it's great that we have a good team and good fans cheering Bruno. It's a lot easier to come along slowly when the team isn't trying to speed up your growth because we're 2-10.

I think Bruno will be a starter eventually. He just has to prove he can defend. He already can shoot 3's. Might be at the 4 though.

that block at the end was amazing. He was actually still finding his bearings (the 360) *while running back on the break* and still managed to block the guy's layup!

Choker wrote:It's hilarious how much of an impact he has on the defense that he's not even aware of yet. I've seen the Bucks hesitating and second guessing themselves on whether or not they should have made a pass with Bruno around in the area. And while I hate hate HATE how he's always helping one pass away, it's pretty astonishing that he still gets up and contests the shot all because his arms are so damn long.

It's a bit of an exaggeration that he always helps one pass away. He does have a tendency to roam leaving his man open on the weak side (second and third play in the clip), but usually its with the proper intention to stop the screener tumbling down the lane or to wall off penetration. His biggest weakness defensively is knowing where to be after he provides help. Watch how in the first play he does an excellent job of bumping Henson on the roll. Bucks run a flare action for Dudley when they can't get Henson the ball, and Patterson rotates to prevent the shot and the drive off of the closeout. Bruno is completely lost on the flight of the pass when he should be rotating over to Ilyasova. He'll improve on this with more experience.

Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I wanna buy a BRUNO jersey but it's ridiculously soldout. I hear the inventory backlog is 2 years away from being 2 years away.

I turned to my brother after he swatted the shot and we both had our jaws on the floor. I'm more excited about his defensive potential than anything.
