My post wasn't about Marshall. It was an attempt to look at what seemed to be an interestingly high turnover rate from our PGs to try to understand why PG is rumored to be an area we're looking to upgrade (via trying out marginal talent). Marshall was just for context. My post was more to spur a discussion rather than me drawing any conclusions.
As for LMA, I hope that's a joke. Also can't tell if you meant we should trade Boozer (we can't because he's amnestied) or simply upgrade at PF.

But it was context you though was worth comparing, yet the two have totally different setup for totally different outcome. Marshall played under MDA, which means he was the center piece in setting up the PnR offense or kick out to the shooters. This made Marshall look very good as a passer but was a non-factor on offense himself. At least Lin could make both ends work when he used it in New York.
Lin/Bryant/Price are playing Princeton offense, which forces equal ball distribution among all 5 players. This requires a hell of a lot more team co-ordination and disciplined teamwork to make it work, but when that breaks down then Kobe takes over. Kobe doesn't believe this offense will work with Boozer, Hill and Johnson because they're not passers nor are they active enough in setting screens. As a result there is a logjam between PGs and the bigs. Both are trying to play to their strength but neither are making any compromises (except Lin) on setting up shots the way the offense requires it.

That was my only trade suggestion, Boozer seems like he would come off better from the bench for the purpose of creating an offensive spark and maintaining the LA lead created by the starters. LA really needs an upgrade near the middle not only to share some of the offensive load, but to create opportunities for the guards with some passing. LMA dominated over Houston during the playoffs (he had several 40++ points against us) because his post up and field shooting forced the Rockets to use their best defender (Howard) on him while forcing Howard out of the key where Dwight became far less effective defensively.
* Since 1985, Jeremy Lin became one of 15 players to have scored at least 20 points, seven assists and a steal for six games in a row, including 136 points in 5 starts beating out Iverson, Jordan and O'Neal

It diff looks like the Lakers are waiting for the record to be something like 3-20 until they start thinking about blowing up the roster.... which might include trading Kobe for a big expiring...... there is no reason why Kobe should be getting that contract without no sign of being in the playoffs... that's a travesty.

This was already discussed earlier in the season or off-season. Kobe's salary is justified for the owners because he brings in revenue. The ownership will get an ROI off Kobe's 25 mil contract and probably 0 from Henry or Sacre. Because even with this terrible record, the Lakers are still selling out the Staples Center.
The Lakers are in a unique position since they don't need to be good to make money. That may change if and when Kobe is gone without an apparent "heir".

Telfair released by the Thunder. Wouldn't be surprised to see you guys pick him up. Better than Ronnie I think.
