What are your personal power rankings? Top 12

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Nov 17, 2014 1:42 am

For me: I'm not necessarily saying the top teams would beat the ones slightly below in the playoffs at this point, and that most of these are a toss up...especially like the top 6 or 7.

1. Cardinals - I never think of them as the best team but they keep beating solid teams and surprise me...at this point they deserve the ranking based on their perfomance, but they have a tough schedule coming up (though they have played Dallas, Philly and Detroit in the last few weeks and beat them all, so it's already been tough).

2. Chiefs - This probably surprises some people but they just seem super solid, and like the Cards, they have a D that can stop most people and an adequate offense, and they stomped NE.

3. Patriots - They seem to start out slow and pick it up and they sure have. They could be #1 now, but they did lose bad to the Chiefs.

4. Colts - If they beat the Pats tonight, go ahead and swap them for #3, but they look solid.

5. Packers - They are just clicking on all cylinders now, and at their best may beat any team above, but if the Cards can shut down Megatron and Tate, could they shut down the Packers receivers?

6. Seahawks - They play solid but have lost to mostly good teams, and on the road.

7. Broncos - This may seem like a low ranking and they have a top notch offense and defense, but they sure did look vulnerable today, so they can't really be higher than any of the above teams based on recent play.

8. Lions - They have been mostly solid, but I'm not completely sure they should be ahead of the next team, based on recent play.

9. Dolphins - They are tough...on both sides of the ball....slightly ahead of the next team.

10. 49ers - Getting better, tough D, can't count them out, but I don't completely trust them.

11. Cowboys - They seem pretty solid, and perhaps are pretty even with the three teams above.

12. Eagles - Ranked this low based on todays game, but at this point, with Sanchez, I don't trust them much.

Entire NFC north seem like they can beat anyone but lose to anyone at the same time, so I just don't trust them at this point. Bills seem tough too. Chargers did look tough, but not lately. Rivers is best in December in the past, so if they can catch fire, maybe they make a run, but they currently lose tiebreakers to Miami, KC and Denver, so it won't be easy unless they beat KC on the road, and Denver at home (and their other games are the Rams, Patriots, Broncos, and at the Ravens, 49ers and Chiefs, so that seems to brutal for them to get in).

Barring something freakish or unforeseen future injuries, this is the way I see it as of today:

1. Green Bay Packers

2. New England Patriots

3. Arizona Cardinals

4. Kansas City Chiefs.

5. Dallas Cowboys

6. San Francisco 49ers

7. Detriot Lions

8. Miami Dolphins

9. Seattle Seahawks

10. Cincinnati Bengals

11. Phildelphia Egals

12. Houston Texans.

12 is too much, ain't nobody got time fo dat. I'll go with 5.

1. New England-They have rediscovered their mojo. Brady is playing MVP ball and their D is starting to round into form.

2. Green Bay-Back to back 50 spots. Incredible.

3. Arizona-Dominant D but I feel like they'll be this year's #1 seed that loses in the 2nd round to a team with a great QB.

4. Denver-Shocking loss to St. Louis but they're still a great team.

5. Detroit-Stafford coming into his own and the D is really good. Hope they can stay healthy...

Putting Chiefs into the top 5 is an insult to all the teams that Higga mentioned. Their defense is good, but no where as good as they were last season imo. That Chiefs/Pats game was an anomaly. Pats had major o-line issues (which they've sured up since then) and the Chiefs took advantage. It was a one game ordeal that doesn't have implications on power rankings today.

Like who?
Mark Sanchez?
Stafford?
Matt Ryan?

As long as the cardinals don't have to travel to GB they should be considered the favorites.

The one and only lose it was 24-20 In Denver with Logan Thomas in at QB in the 4th Q.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

They''ll be favored but they've been squeaking by a lot of wins. Last year being the exception, there is always at least one top speed that gets KO'd in the playoffs early. Just got that feeling Arizona will be that team.

Right now for me New England is alone the top. They're crushing teams left and right, have a balanced offense and a pretty good defense. I'm eager to see what happens next Sunday at Lambeau.

Tied for second are Denver and Green Bay, both look great when they're on but they can be inconsistent at times (Packers on the road).

I don't trust Arizona at all, I think Stanton is going to crumble sooner or later and they have some pretty tough games remaining. I'd lump them together with Dallas, Philly, Detroit, Seattle and Indianapolis just below the top three.

Wouldn't have a problem with any ordering of these teams though, it feels like the league is up for grabs this year, it's going to be a question of entering the playoffs hot and riding that streak all along.

In another week or two, you will realize this Chief's team is much better than the team that started 9-0 last year.

Like your top 3 but I think Denver is in trouble and Detroit will fade away now.
