Would you guys take the #1 or #2 seed with the Seahawks and 49ers both making the playoffs?

Or would you rather see the Packers being a wild card with the Seahawks and 49ers both missing the playoffs?

That's a tough one for me.

I guess I'd lean towards getting a top seed and taking our chances with the Seahawks and 49ers getting in,3 games on the road would be pretty tough.

We're due to beat the 49ers

And I think we can beat SEA in the playoffs... It'll be like 2003... or even better... 2007

I kind of agree with you on the 49ers but I want no part of the Seahawks in the playoffs.

Looking at the schedules if one of them gets in it will more likley be the 49ers,Seahawks have a pretty tough schedule the rest of the way.

If the Seahawks do get in they will have earned their spot with that schedule and will be pretty dangerous in the playoffs.

Seahawks are far worse on the road though.

when was the last time our D held up in a big game against an elite QB though? 2011? they need to show they can play well against a team like NO, or NE, or even seattle or even SF

Well itd be 2010 since we last played Brady. Brady, Rodgers n Manning are the ONLY elites in the game so chances are limited against elite QBs. The D did play well against SF in the playoffs last year so if your lookin for that there it is. The Eagles are one of the highest scoring teams in the league and actually better this year with Sanchez over Foles and we shut them down. D help up against the Lions earlier this year also.

The point is saying you cant get behind the D untill they shut down an elite QB is kinda backwards. Brady is the ONLY one we play this year. If he has a good game that doesnt prove a whole lot either way. Peyton managed to put up 17 in the first half againt the Dolphins. Does that mean Miami has a bad D? Elite QBs are Elite because they put up points on whoever they play. Bad games where they get stopped are an anomaly. Not the norm.

The Packers might not have a top ten defense but they dont need one. Theyll go as far as their QB will take them. Which the same goes for the other two teams with elite QBs

I don't have time right now to go back and pull up our exact games each season, but it seems like everytime we face an elite QB or have a big game where we are underdogs we lose and almost always because our D gets gashed

Just off the top of my head some big games from the past few years:

-NO on sunday night this year
-SEA earlier this year (yeah our offense sucked, but our D got trampled on by marshawn and couldn't get off the field)
-SF in the playoffs last year (kaep destroyed us)
-SF to open last season
-SF in the playoffs 2 years ago

It just seems like our D does fine or does just enough to win against non-elite teams/QB and gets crushed by good teams/elite QBs. Obviously, its more difficult to play well against a good team/good QB, but I can't remember the last time our D showed up in a big game/primetime game (that's not against someone like Chi or MN).

I have no faith in our D because time and time again in big spots and against elite teams they hurt us.

The D did not get torched by kaep in the playoffs. And when you bring up "big" games against top competition how exactly do u forget about the Eagles? Because you think their QB sucks? Their O has been lighting people up. Are they not a good enough team? Tops in their division when we played. Seems like when you thinking of big games your discounting the most recent one simply because we dominated

yeah i don't really put much stock in the eagles game. i was pleased with the D but at the end of the day its mark sanchez and he is terrible. i don't care that he torched CAR and tennessee, he has been a well below league average QB his entire career.

and san fran only put up 23 points on us. But Kaep passed for 225, and ran for 100 yards. Our rush D gave up 167 yards on the ground and when we needed to hold them on the final drive of the game or D got gashed and couldn't get a stop.

he's been awful all year. didn't he make the pro bowl as a rookie last year?

IT looks like he was a pro bowler in for the 2012 season:

Vikings had 7 that year.

Not just because the vikings, but man the pro bowl is trash. I haven't watched the game in years.

That 1 yard throw to RR looks like it may have been almost 40 yards!!!

That's insane. That throw was amazing.

I liked the play call, and I liked a few things out of this play.

#1 it's first down...Jumbo Package...I think Kuhn was in there....Definitely thinking first down, just give it to Kuhn dive play or Lacy.

#2 This play action play always works against the packers D. The packers all jump and pile up and the TE sneaks out and there's no one within 5 yards of him and it's the easiest TD catch in the history of TD catches. I always used to wonder, how come we never run something like that?

#3 Well we finally did, and it was busted. Play action, but the Vikings were all over it and it looked like 3 guys were covering Quarless and the play was completely DEAD.

#4 Aaron Rodgers pulls off some type of insane play. How the heck did he even SEE RR!?! Aaron is running the opposite direction, is running with Quarless facing the other direction. Then TWO defenders are piling on him. Rodgers is still going the opposite direction and starts falling down and he somehow launches the ball 40 yards the completely opposite direction while falling down with 2 people on top of him!?? WTF! How is that even possible!?!?!

Somehow finding the open receiver with eyes behind your head, falling down, throwing across your body 40 yards while 2 people pile on you....Damn. That was amazing.

MINNEAPOLIS – It might have been the longest 1-yard touchdown pass in Green Bay Packers' history, and for that reason the floater that Aaron Rodgers heaved across the field to rookie tight end Richard Rodgers on Sunday will serve as one of the most memorable scoring plays of the season.

Based on multiple looks at the replay -- and with a little geometry (see the Pythagorean theorem) to help in the calculation -- the ball traveled an estimated 39.4 yards through the air, according to unofficial calculations. The nearest Vikings' defender was at least 15 yards away.

Here's how it happened: In the second quarter of Sunday's 24-21 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, the Packers had a first-and-goal at the 1 after a 34-yard catch and run by Andrew Quarless. Coach Mike McCarthy then went with a three tight-end, two-back package that called for Aaron Rodgers to roll to his right. Almost everyone went with him, except Richard Rodgers. He waited for the entire Vikings' defense to follow the ball and then after a few seconds slipped out to the back left corner of the end zone.

By the time the rookie was waving his hands in the air about 3 yards from the back corner of the end zone, his quarterback was already at the numbers near the 10-yard line on the right side of the field.

"You usually don't have to throw the ball 20 or 30 yards for a 1-yard touchdown,” McCarthy said. "I'm sure you guys will measure that out and correct me. But Richard ran a great route on the back side. It's a delay route. Aaron delayed more than he probably needed to, but it was obviously a great throw."

And one that seemingly hung in the air for, as Richard Rodgers said, "forever. "

"I was just open, no one was really covering me," he said "So I was just standing back there waving."

Quarless was actually the primary read on the front side of the play, while Richard Rodgers was the second option on the back side.

"It didn't feel great that the back side was going to be open, so as I came off the fake and extended the play, Andrew got caught a little bit inside, so that was dead, " Aaron Rodgers said. "And at the last minute, I kind of saw him [Richard Rodgers] out of the corner of my eye and knew I had to put a little something on that to get it over there."

It gave the Packers a 14-7 lead with 5:23 left in the second quarter.

Just about every defense in the NFL is having no problem slowing the Niners offense this year. If we can't handle them in the playoffs, it will be a bitter, bitter pill to swallow.

Very surprised and pleased with this team right now. All the front seven has to really do is be average and they are now. Somehow, we are now the favorites in a wide-open NFC.

Yeah, I definitely still fear the Seahawks and 49ers. Not because I think we are worse than them at this point... we have just historically had problems with them.

I think we have a major advantage over anyone else in the NFC at this point.

I think Rodgers summed it up perfectly in his press conference when he said this was a "character building win". Aaron wasn't in god-mode and our team kind of played sloppy throughout, yet we were still able to win a division game on the road due to some timely defensive stops and Lacy gashing them for 120+ yards.

This kind of game bodes well for our chances against the more physical NFC teams with good running attacks (Arizona, Seattle, Dallas). The defense still gives me some worry, but they came up big on some 3rd down stops.

For some reason though, this unit seems lost trying to defend the play-action. I saw on at least two or three occasions, the entire front 7 bit hard on the fake and allowed some wide open guys in the secondary. Fortunately, Bridgewater was missing guys early, but I feel that a better QB is going to take advantage of those kinds of lapses, and it seems our defense is sometimes too concerned with stuffing the run at the expense of letting up a big play.

Overall though, not much to complain about. Lacy getting on a roll is huge for us moving into the colder months. Just need to clean up the penalties and we win this game by at least two scores easily. Patriots game is gonna be a battle.

There was a penalty so it doesn't matter, but...
