The Kobe post up is way too predictable and easy to defend at the end of the game. There needs to be some diversity and unpredictability to close the game, Lin and Young need to be involved as well.

Kobe is just playing dumb at the end of games. Not that he's ever been a smart player but he's making it TOO easy on defenses. They know what he's going to do. He's going to get the ball, hold it for a few seconds with his back to the basket, then he's going to dribble one way or another and shoot a pull up or turn around jumper.

They know he's not going to pass or take it to the hoop so they are free to send over a soft double or even triple team and just dare him to make the shot.

Scott is making this worse because he plays Kobe so many minutes that he doesn't have the lift on his jumpers late in the game. He was short on every single one of his many bricks last night.

Not saying that there's an easy solution but two things that have to change is Kobes minutes and his ball hogging in close games at the end. The reason why no one crashed the boards ONCE during his shooting spectacle is because no one gives a **** when one person is taking all the shots.

Yeah. It's ridiculous... But I guarantee you, if the Spurs were 2 and 9 and had this much uncertainty around them, Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker would all be playing big minutes too.

We might as well let Kobe take the second games of b2bs off with the understanding that we're just going to loose those games. Because I just feel pretty sure, if Kobe sits as much as say a Duncan, we're not going to win very many games right now anyway.

Pop would has pull Duncan, Ginobili and Parker or whoever that was if he just launch brick like Kobe. Scott just a weak coach. There is no excuse for not pulling Kobe when he was launching bricks like that games after game. I'm not talking to someone who is just shooting the ball 30 or 40 times a game, I am talking about someone that just force it so he can pat his stats.

Kobe needs is the reason for most of the loses. He is not helping the team like he said he was.

Yeah I'm not seeing a leader here at all. His style of play is simply outdated and would not fit on so many championship teams today. The problem is that his legacy at the Lakers is overwhelming the team's effort to winning winnable games. It's kind of like if the Spurs suddenly had Shaq, or the Mavs had Carmelo. You have to give them their minutes and scoring input in the game and lose at the same time.

After the Denver game he's just made me appreciate MJ a hell of a lot more, who also played on a young Washington team but still managed to achieve an 18 game turnaround. Kobe is not capable of doing that, not while shooting more and passing less. After this, I expect even non-basketball fans to start realising that while Kobe was good he was never great like MJ, so it might be time for his LA legacy to end soon.

Well said.

But Kobe is controlling everything on this team from top to bottom including his minutes, so it's anyone's guess on what he's trying to do here.
