Big/mobile front courts. (SF/PF/C's)
Amir's ankles have really slowed him down. Jonas is fairly speedy/big but he certainly has his limits. The team really has 1 really good defender for those lineups in James Johnson...otherwise the team is really thin. You might be able to pin Patterson in that role, but it is a huge stretch. I am beyond shocked that Lebron just did not have a field day with JJ being out but..

Chuck Hayes somehow have been able to slow down big Centers, otherwise its pretty dicey if Jonas can't handle them.

Its the Chuck Butt that does it. Low center. Big load. Not easy to move.

Desn't have to be KG by any means though. We just need one more decent defensive big body off the bench to try and cover our weakness' a bit.

Raptors have REALLY good chemistry. You don't think KG might mess it up? I don't know about the guy. I'm sure the crowd would get him going in the playoffs. But ..........I don't know. KG?

What's wrong with KG? He may seem brash, but when he's on your team I think KG's the type of guy that dudes love to ball with. I was watching Scalabrine tell some old stories the other day about KG on the BS report. How he was behind the scenes, and with his team mates. He sounded like the definition of a 'gamer'. Just passionate about the game, and laying it all out there. I think players would love to play with a guy like that. Especially guys like Lowry who are like that themselves.

Maybe. I don't know him well and from what I've seen, he may get on people's nerves. Even his own teammates. Nonetheless, at the current stage KG is in. He's a jump shooting big man who doesn't hustle for rebounds like he used to. That's not what the Raps need. They need someone who'll post, be an inside presence and get the rebound. Someone they can throw it to on the inside like Z-Bo. Unfortunately, there's no one available that I can think of that fits that profile. Fortunately, Jonas seems to be developing into that.......slowly developing into that. If he's able to be an inside presence on a consistent basis. Then watch out, the Raps will be for real.

I've been critical of him in the past because I just don't like his efficiency. It's alright when he was league average-ish, but the last 1.15 years he's been hovering awfully close to that .500ts% line, while he's been bombing long 2's at the highest rate in the league. I usually get pointed to the Houston series, and while he was very good, I think a lot of players can get hot for 1 series. He shot .44ts% in the next series.

He is shooting over 50% from 3 right now. I think he has taken like 15 or more so far. Obviously he will keep that percentage right where it is at lol

Who suggested tonight was going to feature Western Conference teams beating up Eastern Conference ones?

Looks like 3 a piece tonight.

I think they need a big body that can defend, rebound, and has a better offensive touch than Chuck Hayes. Which is KG imo.

He's leading the league in defensive rebounding %, and has 12.5 rebounds/36 minutes. Not going to get you a ton of hustle offensive boards, but he'll keep the defensive glass clean which would be big. We've been having trouble with big teams offensive rebounding on us, and KG's just about the best backup big in the business at preventing that.

I mean, yeah I'd rather have Z-Bo than KG haha. But, that's a whole other discussion. Adding a piece like that involves us giving up a big piece which changes the entire makeup of our team. I'm just talking about putting the finishing touches on this current squad.

Chicago.

Wizards are a joke to us, i think we went 3-1 last year and 1-0 so far this year.

Completely owned them.

No doubt the Spurs are tough, but that's really really bad efficiency to be getting out of your all star imo. Meh, I dunno. The .509ts% (or whatever it is), over the last 1.15 years just seems poor for an all star imo.

I'm going back on the Nets-Raps series last year and KG was being exploited. He didn't offer much and you also have to manage his minutes. I know that Hayes isn't that great of an option but there is a use for him. As limited as it may be. I just don't think KG really adds anything special to warrant him taking minutes away over the guys we currently have.

For now, Raps are winning. Maybe no finishing touch is needed just yet. I'd let the guys continue rolling and see from there.

Hands is a wiz fan. Just sayin' haha.

It's weird. Wiz matchup well with the Bulls. Bulls Match up good with the Raps. Raps matchup good with the Wiz.

Maybe it's because Dirk is incredibly efficient??

LMA TS%
2013-2014: .507
2014-2015: .518

Dirk TS%
2013-2014: .603
2014-2015: .620

It's not even close! If you don't want people to call LMA inefficient then maybe he should stop being inefficient. It's not complicated and it's certainly no double standard because they are not comparable.

To me I go by eye test and what they do for there team and in that sense they are comparable. I hate advanced stats because no matter somebody can use it to win an arguement. Aldridge shoots near 50% (this year a little lower at 46% so far) but I believe eye test tells me what I need to see. I dont wanna turn this into a arguement or me hating dirk cause I dont I love dirk haha. I just thought people didnt think aldridge was top 10. I think he is and some dont and some do. I was just giving my thoughts. No hate from this side :)

Eye test is fine and all but you have to realize Dirk scores more than LMA with less possessions. In fact, he's one of the most elite and efficient scorers in the league. FG% is pretty useless and I'll explain why. Let's say there's two players who average the following stats.

Player A
10/20 FG - 0/2 3PA - 3/6 FT - 23 points

Player B
8/18 FG - 4/10 3PA - 6/6 FT - 26 points

Player A
50% FG%

Player B
44% FG%

So when I only show you their FG% it seems like player A is efficient while player B is inefficient, but that is not actually the case at all. Player B actually averages more points while using 2 less possessions, making him much more efficient. TS% takes account for 3 pointers and free throws, because those are the most efficient shots along with shots at the rim. TS% gives you a much greater representation of a player's efficiency as player A has a TS% of .507 (inefficient) while player B has a TS% of .630 (elite). Although an advanced stat, TS% is pretty basic compared to most, and is one of the most useful and telling stats there is. Even for someone who has an aversion to advanced stats, you should at least understand this one. I always found it funny how the anti-advanced stat crowd will still rely on basic stats as if they are more honest than advanced stats but in the case of TS% and FG% it is much the opposite.
