I think after Vuc, Victor, Payton etc they've passed the point of trying to tank - and reached the point of trying to develop an identity and culture for the future, which is a great approach imo and something you can see they're already starting to pull off, greatly thanks to Frye.
Exactly because they're loaded on young guys, a pro's pro like Frye is exactly what they need - and also he has a unique skill that's hard to come by and really affects the game with his size and long distance shooting.
Don't see them giving up on him, frankly - and if so surely not for D-Will. They'll want value back.
