Dallas -3 over Philly. 55 O/U
Early line says Dallas minus 3 with an over/under of 55. Teams are similar in many ways. Both can run and pass effectively. Both have poor D's with bad secondaries.
Im going 27-24 Dallas. I see both teams as very similar except Dallas has the advantage at QB. Another thing that could lead to a much bigger Dallas win is the fact the Eagles CONSISTENTLY turn the ball over. Sanchez has 4 picks in his last 8 quarters. Only way Philly wins is if they dont turn the ball over which hasnt happened all season.
Lastly, the over under for Dez flashing "The ROC" symbol is 4.5. If it goes over that means he had a big game and seems to be Jay Z's biggest billboard. I get the "diamond" symbol he makes with his hand but can someone fill me in with the "X" symbol he makes with his arms. Reminds me of Charlie Garner from back in the early 90s.

Cowboys historically suck against the screens & passes in the flats. McCoy & Sproles concern me the most because of this. I think the one that wins the turnover battle wins the game. So I hope we don't play bend don't break defense. I hope we play it aggressively.

I think Sanchez makes the difference ...in our favor.

Me too because I see these teams as incredibly similar. Same strengths. Same weaknesses. Can a Cowboy insider fill me in on Dez's "X" symbol with his arms. Something to do with his high school? I remember Dante Hall doing the same thing for his high school.

He has said in the past a few different things. He says it's telling defenses that he is the guy to watch meaning X factor. I have also heard him say that he is X ing out all negative things in his past, that he is proving people wrong.
I know it looks showy and it kind of is, but the guy loves to play football. I do really think he has tried to become a better person but I am pretty gullible when it comes to my guys. Honestly just hearing Romo talk about- I really think the guy means well. In his interview last night, after the game, I could honestly really tell he couldn't wait to get to practice today. Now I have a feeling he may try Beckhams catch while there but he wants to be there

I don't know what to think about this game, but I feel strongly about a few things. First, even though I don't see us as an 8-3 team, I don't see Philly as an 8-3 team either. Second, I totally agree that Romo versus Sanchez is by a mile our biggest advantage. I watched Sanchez play for years in NY and he is horrible. That doesn't mean he won't have a good game on any given day of course (Colt McCoy) but he is nowhere near the caliber of QB that Romo is. I think Romo is way better than Foles also, which is why i thought we had as good a chance as Philly this year to win the division and Sanchez isn't even half the QB Foles is. Lastly, whichever team wins will be 9-3. Whether they are a good team or not, I don't know, but 9-3 in this league is damn impressive. If we win this game it will be a serious statement towards those that felt we should cut everyone and rebuild because they felt we had no chance to even be decent this year. Even if we lose this game, 8-4 and in the middle of the playoff race is pretty darn good, but 9-3 would really be something...

I would think the over would be the play. Then I think back to last yr and neither game was close to 55. Short weeks have to be tough on the defense though I would think. Still divisional games seem to a little different. I do worry Romo will be sore , but who knows. Phillys special teams are as good as it get as far as returns and blocking kicks. Sanchez tore us up three yrs ago in the season opener. I know that was a long time ago but he has better players now on his side of the ball. He seems to have some real chemistry with Matthews. Ertz is a matchup problem for us. I still think Phillys D is better than their numbers. They give up huge plays. Yards are yards but theirs a lot of the time comes through allowing a bomb or 3 a game. It should be a great game. Hopefully marinelli/ Kiffen knows a secret.

I guess in short I think they will be the best team we have played all yr. JMO. One thing holds them back and they are due a game without any. Hopefully that occurs next week and not this one.

THis is a strange game because it is HUGE but a loss isnt devastating nor does a win guarantee anything. I think a loss would hurt Philly more cause they have Seattle the next week while Dallas plays a poor Chicago team. But which ever team loses can quickly catch up in the rematch 18 days later.
Funny stat. I think we all agree Sanchez isnt a world beater but he is only one of 4 Eagles QBs to throw for over 300 yards in 3 straight games.

Thanks. It doesnt bother me at all. If you can back it up then do what you want. Desean is/was the same way. The only Cowboy that ever really bothered me with his celebrations was Mike Jenkins. A QB would over throw the WR by 10 yards and he'd burst into histrionics like he was Deion Sanders and just made a key play to win the SB.

Cowboys like to do a lot of substituting on Defense & that wont be happening with the eagles offense. So I hope the defense drank their energy drinks & the O2 tanks are full on the sidelines.

I agree but you know...I think I learned something this season about that.
IF the offense subs then they have to give time for the defense to sub. BOY...shows you how many must watch the other teams sidelines for those opportunities.

Yeah, the Eagles just dont substitute on a lot of plays cause thats the BIG reason they run this offense. It keeps teams from substituting tired players. Chip focused on getting slightly smaller yet more athletic OLineman who can run and line up quickly. I still think this game comes down to Dallas continuing to run on 1st and 2nd downs.

That's why I think the key to the game (like it has been all year) is for the Cowboys to let that o-line lean on the Eagles defense. Let them get mean and let them show the Eagles just how good they are. The Eagles have a good pass rush but the front 7 are smaller guys. Just like in every other game this year the defense will wear down in the 3rd and 4th quarter. The more they run the more you keep the Dallas defense off the field.

Let's hope they get back to what they did at the beginning of the year and run the ball more on 2nd down and even on 3rd when possible. Too many times the last few weeks we've been passing on 2nd down and in the red zone. The rushing yardage has still been there, but the commitment has not. One of the main reasons our 3rd down conversion rate was so great early on was because we had such a short amount to pick up. Two runs may get you 3rd and 2 or even a first down. Plus, as you mentioned it keeps the defense off the field and shortens the game.

Commitment has you describe involves 10 plus carries from backs not named Murray...which I don't necessarily disagree with...but I also think the passing game is a big part of the balance they are trying to achieve. I just think tendencies matter, which shouldn't take away from Murray's 25 touches or the pound mentality.

Just had thought pop in my head.
I can't remember for the life of me a time these Cowboys had won a major match up were when the games was in the bag by the 4th qtr or Mid 4th qtr. You always have to wait till the last 30 seconds to get the win.
I have a lot dessert to get down tomorrow ...so please Cowboys, take over this game and make a statement.
