Reggie Jackson is not an upgrade over Lin. Might as well go for one of Rondo or Dragic, otherwise retain Lin for a decent price. If the Lakers did not even think about Bledsoe this year they won't entertain Jackson much either.

I get the feeling that PGs who play like Bledsoe have a playstyle that's not sustainable in the long term.

That and Jackson isn't worth his asking price.

Then use Nash's expiring contract and a 1st round pick for a C. Hibbert maybe?

Lin/Kobe/Iggy/Boozer/Hibbert would be a nice starting 5.

I like the Iggy deal. Gives us an elite defender at SF. Hibbert however, meh. I think the Lakers are better off either drafting a center or signing Monroe.

Snell/Moore/2015 first for Wesley Johnson/Xavier Henry

It's a win now move and mortgages our pick this year for a rental, but Wesley Johnson can shore up our SF rotation enough for this year so we don't have to rely on McD. I balk at giving up McD in this trade given what we paid for him.

Moore and Henry are in the deal for financial purposes.

Snell and Moore are really nothing special, but they're signed for cheap (Snell on team options the next two years). This guarantees you a pick in the first round and maybe you have two picks and can do some dealing for next year.

Wait.. are you really offering us Snell and a first round pick for Wesley Johnson? Serious?

Like I said, a win now move. We need a depth at the 3. Snell hasn't been able to contribute consistently and neither has McD.

We can use the money next year on a low cost vet instead of another rook

You might get a proper player like Corey Brewer or someone from the Nuggets fire sale for that. Kupchak would take it and run if that was on offer. If Orlando is confident of not signing Tobias Harris to a contract that' another option.

I've watched Snell and he is quite a lot better than Wes that a straight up trade would be lop sides without a pick included. Thibs just needs to trust him with minutes if he is going to develop.

Looking at the career numbers, it looks like you're right about Johnson/Snell. The grass isn't always greener I suppose.

Yeah, you're severely overrating Wes, there's a reason he's been signing minimum deals for 2 straight seasons.

Hornets and Lakers appear to be ideal trading partners. If Kelly had been healthy, there was scope for a decent trade there.

I got the Raptors as the ideal trading partner for the Lakers.

Ujiri is smart and they likely won't jump the gun right away. Hornets on the other hand are on a sinking boat and MJ wants playoffs as a minimum target. I don't think those Kobe rumors to Hornets were off the mark either. There's definitely some smoke there.

I know his stock is at an all time low, but what about Stephenson and Vonleh for Hill and Nash's exception...

Maybe playing with Kobe for a couple years would pull his head out... And Vonleh could pair nicely with Randle for the future.
It's risky all around, but that's what tank years are for.

I think Kobe might choke Stephenson to death within a week.
