Didn't the same thing just happen to us in 2013?
The difference is that fate is forcing Indy to rebuild. No bailing water, limping into the playoffs in the first round with a losing record. They'll be forced to be bad for a year and come back with a healthy P George and a top 10 pick in 2015.
It's worth noting that the last time Indy had a top ten pick, they selected one of the top young talents in the league today.
I'd kill to have a top 10 player plus a top ten draft pick coming back at the same time. In my 18 years of Hawks fandom, we've never had both.
Their franchise is coming off two straight division titles, two straight Conference Championship appearances and a #1 seed in the playoffs. In my 18 years of Hawks fandom, we've never had either.
I
AM jealous. Indy, the last two seasons, was clearly ahead of us in the pecking order. Two seasons from now I suspect they'll be there again
