I didn't watch the game but I saw that we won. I was keeping up with it on twitter and was pleasantly surprised that we were leading at half time. I'm visiting my grandparents in NY and they don't get NBATV.

I guess we play better on the road than at home right now.

we are winning because our defense has been pretty decent against this injury riddled rockets, make no mistake about it.

I thought our defense was pretty good this game. However there was one particular moment where we just stood there and let them grab and offensive board and then we assumed they were going to make the shot and continued to stand there while they grabbed a 2nd offensive board.

theyre never around during a win to say "solid win". I get it. We didn't beat a contender. But as a fan, aren't you appreciative of every win?

Maybe it's just me….but I have a feel that if we lost this game, more of us would be in here saying we aren't elite and that we're going to lose in the 1st round.

I'm sorry. I'm going to have to pass on that. I'm not going to give him immunity precisely because of his shortcomings. I have to agree with Neddy's point about Farmar's ball-handling. It really is inexcusable for a professional player and supposed point guard to be that bad at dribbling.

The fact that he signed a cheap deal wins no points with me because he did so in order to up his own value like Collison did. Similar to the Earl Watson and Baron Davis days at UCLA, I've always felt the less hyped Darren Collison was a better PG than the more celebrated Jordan Farmar and it looks like I was proven right. Funny thing is, Doc stated last year that Collison isn't even a true point guard.

For all his bravado I noted previously, the guy sure is coming up short even if it is early in the season. He's currently shooting 35.7% from the field and averaging 1.1 turnovers a game to 1.7 assists per. It's not like he's some rookie that needs to have his hand held, but conversely, he also doesn't seem to have the mentality of working on improving or expanding upon his game since he thinks of himself as an established pro.

I wonder where Xepa777, the noted Farmar advocate, is at? In any case, my concerns for the team go beyond Farmar at this point given his relative insignificance thus far.

I didn't really get to watch the game as I had it in the background while working, but to answer your question, probably not because I've noted that we've come to rely on Crawford as a crutch for our offense to the team's detriment. It would take some time to adjust without him or go away from him.

Like I said in the old thread I referenced earlier--and despite my personal disdain for him--I think Farmar would be a fine fit as a spot up shooter who can occasionally drive to the hoop. He's got the skills to be so much more. I'm glad he's not a volume shot-chucker so far, which is why I haven't really railed against him. I actually like that he's playing a limited role, but there are still some improvements I would like to see, particularly with regard to his playmaking.

I'm Farmar's defense, there were some games where he was the ball handler with the second unit that they looked good and he did a good job in pick and roll and drive and kick.

I missed this game, going to watch on league pass, but glad to see the win

as i have always said, Farmar is a 2 guard in 1's body, spot up shooting i can live with. him running an offense is where i find it offensive.
