Do the lakers have to much loyalty.to do it... or are they willing.to accept.that.this is a historical bad team?

Just like last yr, the team isn't bad cause of the coaching, the team is bad cause it lacks the personnel to even compete for a playoff spot. The lack of talent is a result of the front office's decision to conserve their cap space for upcoming off seasons.

Byron scott, in my opinion, was hired for the specific purpose of minimizing fan unrest and public criticisms. Kobe isn't going to kill scott to the media. For the most part fans have totally shifted gears in blaming everything on the coach and front office even though results are relatively the same as last yr. Lastly, the lakers family like magic Johnson has kept it quiet this season when the last few yrs they were relentless in voicing their displeasure.

Byron Scott's hire has yielded the exact results he was hired for. Getting rid of him would be idiotic and would go against the plan the front office has implemented.

no one will fire a coach who they knew was in for a crap year after whiffing on all free agents and sustaining another bout of injuries. And also after running through Brown and Pringles so fast. He's still got a long rope so I'd just totally abandon the idea. They know we are a tank right now.

How can you blame Byron with all of these injuries and lack of talent on the roster? We're in a rebuilding mode this will take time. But we seriously need to keep this top 5 pick this draft

This team sucks. And it's not B-Scott's fault...

Davis is having a resurgent season

Kobe is playing better then he did in the last 3 years

Lin is having a better season then last year

Boozer is probably better then he did his whole time with the bulls...

Yeah it's surely not Scott's fault that we're a joke..

It'd be stupid to have 4 coaches in 3 years. Scott sucks, but it's not like we were going anywhere with anyone else.
On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

Whatever you think or say... talent has never been an issue with this roster... it's the fact that Scott is dragging this team to the ground.... and it's gonna be even more apparent when players turn on him with more loses piling up.... I would say the Lakers are very close to having a drama/turmoil season... I don't think players are gonna put up with the loses and there gonna show there frustrations.

Not sure how you can look at this team and say talent isn't the issue... If you think this is winning talent in the West, I'm sorry... You just have no idea what you're talking about...

Scott isn't the best coach in the league, but he isn't the main reason this team isn't winning.
So to answer your original question... Which has been asked and answered already many times I think... No, pride isn't keeping the Lakers from firing Scott.
