I don't think the Pacers were on the verge of winning anything. Not with the team chemistry they showed the last several months of the year. From what I've seen this year though give the Pacers a healthy Paul George and they would be a better team than last year. Maybe still not a true contender but closer.

I think Lance is a unique talent but when it comes to being a core guy on a contender both on the floor and off Lance has much to learn.

couldn't agree with you more. Look at Charlotte this year they look horrible not saying it's all lances fault but he hasn't helped much what so ever.

Hello Paul George!

In isolated situations Lance can be a good defender. Overall I've never thought him to be any more than an average defender.

Hello Paul George!

If only we could clone him and have PG24 at sf and PG13 at sg.

I think his size, speed, and energy allowed him to be a plus on defense; when focused.

When he's charged with manning up with an isolation type player (J.R. Smith in the 2013 playoff series) he's exceptional. But ask him to guard a dangerous shooter who understands how to cut to the basket and move without the ball for clean looks at 3's and Lance is not very effective. In the Washington series he struggled with both Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza.

I'd agree. JR Smith? Sure. Easy. Kyle Korver? He loses interest and sags off, when one never should.

There has to be a reason Clifford is slagging Lance off all the time. I think we might see a shock-trade with Lance going to NYK in the summer.

I said at the time they signed him that they had too many guys in the same position and size. I don't see Lance playing with Kemba Walker they both need the ball too much.

I don't know if the Wiretap story that existing Pacer players were cold to the idea of bringing Lance back is surprising or even a new concept? But, it's out there. If expirings got you Lance and additional value I think you would have to do it since nothing is happening this year form the Pacers anyway. But, to Charlotte's credit the contract they signed Lance to seemingly provides a pretty easy exit path. keep him hope it gets better, maybe they lose a lot and have another high pick. Waive him next year. Not the worst scenario. I guess if they like their team enough this year you would take more drastic measures but longer things go as they are the less likely they are to give value away to move Lance.
