interesting development just a week before the GM meeting. a three team trade being proposed, by Jim Bowden.

Dodgers give Matt Kemp to the Brewers. Dodgers gain Jean Segura the SS and Paxton a lefty SP.

Brewers give Jean Segura to LA, and give Ryan Braun to Seattle, gain Matt kemp

Seattle give Paxton to LA, Brad Miller to Milwaukee. they gain Ryan Braun.

we will become a bit too lefty strong in our rotation but Paxton is a quality pitcher.

it's only a hypothetical scenario by a media personality but bringing Paxton wouldn't hurt this team. problem I see is that we are looking for a short term solution at SS until Seager is ready and Segura doesn't fit the bill.
ehhhhh f it.

That's a grade A rip off for the Brewers.

That doesn't count as an interesting development. The Brewers would lose in the present and the future. There's no incentive to do a deal like that.

As a Matt Kemp fan, I hope the Dodgers trade him to the Yankees. Idiots need to keep him if they want to have a decent offense next season.

first of all, there is no guarantee Kemp can stay healthy for the 109 mil worth of his duration of contract. as Branch Rickey once said, it is better to sell a player a year too yearly than a year too late.

secondly, baseball is in the end, about pitching. I am willing to trade even Puig for Hamels as the true identity of the dodgers has always been, about pitching and defense. that's how we won in 88 and its about the damn time we get back to our roots.

Is it bad that I'm waiting for Cashman to pull some ridiculous deal out of his ass now that Boston and Toronto have made some pretty big moves?

He's good for at least one tragically stupid move every offseason, but I'm not sure who they'd gun for here.

It'd be nice for you guys if your crown jewel could put something together in the postseason and have a manager who could manage his way out of a paper bag.

Can't really blame him for being inept, though. He's a Torre disciple, none of those guys can do much.

well this much is true. Don is a certifiable idiot and most hardcore dodger fans know it.

never liked Joe Torre either. i never understood his celeb status in hollywood.

My name is Andrew Friedman and my 1st act as the Director of Baseball Operations for the Dodgers is to ensure Donald Baseball that he will be our manager next season.

not srs.

thank God Stan Kasten rush delivered Lord Friedman.
the Boys in Blue were on a collision course with a 5 year/100 M deal with that fat **** Boston just signed if Colletti were still around.

Max Scherzer - 7 years, 189 million.

In all honesty, I would love to have Scherzer. He's one of those pitchers I don't see having any sort of massive dropoff for at least another three years.

And if CC could somehow rework his repertoire, and regain any sort of luster, a Scherzer/Tanaka/Sabathia top of the rotation just might be able to squeeze 90 wins out of this team.

Oh, and I'm a little worried about the dark horse team in his sweepstakes being in the AL East. From what I've been reading, the Yanks offered him six years, so I wouldn't doubt someone like Baltimore swooping in and offering seven and surprising everyone in baseball.

Nelson Cruz just signed with the Mariners, and now that lineup is looking pretty damn good.
