Denver vs Portland 12/2
Blew that lead last night and wasted a lot of energy....Tonight will be tough. I'm hoping pride comes into play given the ass-kicking Portland handed us last time.

As usual the team falls apart as soon as Hickson plays the 5.

It's crazy how fast Hickson can undo his few minutes of good work. Absolutely worthless.

Way too many stupid mistakes down the stretch. Wtf was that final playcall, that was a terrible look.

Against utah, 7ft mozzy blocks Hayward to force them into a difficult shot.
Today, shaw leaves 3 7footers on the bench while the undersized pf and center get bodied.

Re: Denver vs Portland 12/2
Good effort...until the 4th qtr. ABSOLUTELY no answer for LMA.....why didn't they go after Lillard after he picked up his 5th foul ??

Re: Denver vs Portland 12/2
Shaw definitely blew that game with the late substitutions, or lack thereof.
Hickson should not have been guarding Lopez. or out there playing defense at the 5. goaltend late, gave up a 3 point play to LMA, got pinned by lopez out of position that led to portland out of bounds play then got pinned again and gave up a layup with 1 second left. awful
and Afflalo probably should have gotten ball in final look. Gallo doesn't have enough explosiveness yet to give us a good shot in that situation.

Re: Denver vs Portland 12/2
HIckson once again in at center while the Nuggets have 3 centers sitting on the bench, and of course a 19 point lead is blown while Shaw insists at playing him out of position.
Also Lawson played way to many minutes, 81 minutes combined between the 2 games, if you were watching him you could see he was exhausted by the middle of the 4th quarter, which is more than likely why he was struggling to even hit hit floater that he rarely misses.
Maybe I am misremembering but did the Nuggets not use to use Chandler and/or Gallo on Aldridge all the time on defense? If I remember right it was pretty effective as they did not have the habit of dropping off of him on the perimeter as most big men will do. The fact is Shaw should have learned that trying to guard Aldridge 1 on 1 with Faried or Hickson was not going to work, and that Aldridge is not stopped by trying to have a 7 footer guard him as he just stays on the perimeter, so why not try something else?
