^Stauskas maybe if we included Singler and our 2015 second rounder (will be early 30's afterall, so holds value).

Something like -

Josh Smith
Kyle Singler
Tony Mitchell
2015 Second Rounder

for

Carl Landry
Derrick Williams
Nik Stauskas

Singler holds good value as a rotation 2/3 off the bench on a contender - he's not a starter though as we're forced to use him here. Kings have Gay and McLemore long term at SF and SG respectively, and Cassipi is expiring and could earn too much to keep him in Sacto.

Just a trade I thought up. Who says no?

Pistons trade:
Josh Smith
Kyle Singler
2nd Rounder

Pistons Receive:
Tyreke Evans

Kings trade:
Jason Thompson
Nik Stauskas

Kings receive:
Josh Smith
Austin Rivers
Pistons 2nd

Pelicans trade:
Tyreke Evans
Austin Rivers

Pelicans Receive:
Jason Thompson
Nik Stauskas
Kyle Singler

Pistons get rid of Smith and get rid of Singler. They get somewhat of a playmaker in Tyreke and fill the SF position. Kings get Smith who they hope will take them to the next step as well as a young SG to come off the bench. Pelicans get rid of Tyreke and get 2 solid bench pieces as well as a prospect at the SG position to replace Eric Gordon.

Maybe the Kings would do:

McCallum, Williams, Sessions, Evans for Smith, Singler, Augustin

Then we would have 14.5M extra to throw at Kawhi Leonard in the offseason lol

just another smith to the kings scenario i've been working on for a few days. i honestly feel like that's where he'll end up, and i hope we can bring raymac to detroit if that were to go down. that kid just has heart and a fire to him, i have a feeling that he'd bring it every game unlike most of this team. he also has a chance to be a pretty good PG in this league...

Hornets say no, Jefferson is the center.. that lineup is extremely problematic. I thought Smith to Hornets might be possible to work out there if we paired him with a shooter and just got some of their non-shooting players back. Like a: Smith+Singler for Williams+Henderson+Maxiel. Some Hornets fans don't really like it, but at least Smith is a PF who would be maybe the 4th scoring option on that starting lineup, maybe he would be able to focus on doing all the "other" stuff, and not focus on scoring because of it... and they would get a shooter on their wing to help off the bench.

Magic fan here and I come in peace. Both teams are struggling and SVG does not like the team's overall energy.

KOQ/Oladipo for Drummond/Singler

I'm hearing Stephenson might get traded. Not a big fan of his game, very wild player. Honestly feel like he was crazy over hyped this summer. Not an all-star player imo, but I definitely see potential after going to ECF game this past season. Love that he can guard 2's and 3's. OK, pistons suck and hornets suck so lets package a trade with Smoove or Monroe and Lance as the major pieces in this trade. Throw in singler and they can add Henderson/Mkg or whatever. His 2 year contract is attract me. Get it done SVG !

SVG was supposedly interested in him this summer. I'm more hopeful though of Monroe going to Pelicans

Jobsnhire - breaking news since....

The article's justification for Brooklyn doing this is to trim salary for tax purposes - but this trade doesn't do that, maybe a million bucks, a million and a half at most. And they take on two more years of Smith for expirings.

^If the Nets included Karasev's contract they'd be saving $2.8M off their cap - and given they're 20M over and repeat tax offenders, they're taxed at $4.25 for every dollar over, so they'd save $12M in tax with this deal - so I guess it's not chump change.
