Suns / Hornets

G.Green + Thomas + Plumlee + Morris twins for Biyombo + MKG + Vonleh

Suns

C: Len/Biyombo
PF: Vonleh / Warren / Tolliver
SF: Tucker / MKG / Warren
SG: Dragic / Goodwin
PG: Bledsoe / Ennis

I'd make Warren a "small" PF/SF type like Antawn Jamison 6th man type.
Vonleh gets solid minutes to develop, Biyombo reinforces the defense of front court... MKG, Tucker, Goodwin, Bledsoe perimeter defense = ELITE

Ryno/ Asik combo would be a great frontcourt upgrade if they are healthy.

I'd give any up any combination of Plumlee, Thomas, Green, Tolliver, picks, filler.

Bledsoe
Dragic
Tucker
Anderson
Asik

Ennis
Archie
Warren
Morris
Morris
Len

That team is absolutely AWFUL man.

We lose all spacing, double up two good perimeter defensive SFs and our depth is massacred...You're basically giving CHA 4-5 starter quality players for more unproven youth, none of which are proven starters.

Not to mention we're sending out like MILLIONS and taking back 3x rookie contracts. :o

Ilyasova looks like a serviceable player again. He hits the 3 at very good rate and having more minutes for him here in Phoenix could be amazing for us. A stretch four in nearly every sense. It can't be too hard to acquire him since the Bucks probably want out of his contract. But apparently Jason Kidd wanted to acquire him while he was head coach of the Nets.

I would love to have Lavine in Suns team. I am willing to risk and offer:

Bledsoe/Thomas+Plumlee for Lavine+Pekovic

We get strong presence in paint, and can fully use our guard potencial
Dragic (30 min), Thomas (28 min), Green (25 min), Lavine (15 min), waiting for chance: Ennis, Goodwin

Lavine is very big, even for SG, so he isn't liability on defense. I think that guy can become mix between Westbrook and Gerald Green.

What have you seen in Lavine that impresses you? The few games I've watched he's been one of the worst players I've ever seen in the NBA. I know he's young and an incredible athlete but great athletes that can't play basketball seldom learn how to play the game. He has star potential but if it happens it will likely be for some team down the road. As for Pek, he's a poor defender that can't stay healthy on a 12 million per year contract. Honestly, if we want to get rid of Plumlee and one of our point guards I think we'd be better off just shooting them instead of taking back Minnesota's mistakes.

Lol yeah I know I just did that trade on NBA 2K15 and suns have lost 5 on a row simulated lol.

But Vonleh and Biyombo are my key targets.
Vonleh has a 3pt range and can be developed as a Bosh-lite.
Biyombo has great defensive numbers.

I suppose you need to follow that trade up that brings in a dead eye shooting SG/SF and rapidly develop Vonleh as a deep range big man.

That move is a 1 step back... 2 step forward trade in a couple of seasons basically...

Suns are in a steep uphill battle to make the playoffs and I was thinking collect more pieces that will be cornerstones.

I'd do..

The entire Suns team + next 3 picks
for
Anthony Davis

or more realistically, Isaiah and Plumlee or Gerald and Tucker for Ryan Anderson.

Bledsoe/Ennis
Dragic/Green
Tucker/Warren
Anderson/Marcus
Len/Markieff

Would love that lineup. Only flaw is that 2nd unit is bad at defense but who cares. They would outscore every other bench anyway 8-)

We gotta look at the teams that are struggling with us to see who will go for a trade. Teams to consider, Jazz, 76ers, Hornets, Lakers, Wolves, Detroit. Lakers don't have anyone I would trade for.

Wondering what it would take to get Favors.

^Favors is one of the guys who'd be PERFECT, but he'd likely cost Dragic...Ugh...

Kanter can probably be had cheaper cos they've got Gobert waiting in the wings, but he only solves the rebounding/low-post scoring, he doesn't block shots at all - but his range has expanded out to deep which could be useful.

Mozgov is a guy I'd like here, does his job, good shot-blocker and really contributes when given consistent minutes.

We need (always have) Ryan Anderson, period! That would be a top 5 team. Run the pick and roll with Bled and Len......makes too much sense.

Why, of course not. Our inside vermin never hear, share, regurgitate a peep, or an "inside the FO" thought until some media (crap and real) chatter starts bouncing around ...funny how that works.

But to be sure, mid- December to the deadline, we'll be graced with ooddles of ambiguously worded, insider tease grease for those who crave that kind of thought lube, thanks to those who get off in the spraying.

I was on the ESPN trade machine last night trying to get a trade done with Jazz.

The target players were
- Hayward
- Kanter

I dont think they'll let Favors go at all.... 6'10 double double guy with no on/off court issues, he is pretty much a cornerstone.

Hayward too... but Jazz have 3 potential ball handlers who can take the mantle.

Guys, I know a guy in the FO who says that we have a list of players who we are thinking about trading for players on various other teams. We're trying to make a move if we can get a good deal. Some of the names mentioned are pretty exciting. Hopefully something is likely to be done by the trade deadline. If not, expect something this offseason. Hope this helps satiate your need for inside info. I'll let you know when something goes down.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Hayward would be perfect for our team's struggles. Great basketball IQ and terrific passer for his position. Good three point shooter and this year he is a better defender.
I think Utah will never trade him.

Damn if we need an inside presence and rebounding, this guy might be a guy to go after, though I don't know what they'd want from us. Check out his numbers the other night when Cousins was out.

Sadly for Suns, you are likely to be right.

Hayward has been amazing for them so far... living up to that Bigger "Ginobili" ability.
Can pass, shoot, finish, create and play defense.

I wanted the Suns to max him this off-season, but they waited for Lebron too long.... hence I'm a bit p'd off by Lebron and his agent teasing the Suns like that. But Jazz would of matched anyways like they did with Hornets.

I'd offer..

- Morris twins
- Green
- Thomas
- Plumlee

for

Hayward
Kanter
Evans

Our best trade partners will be Hornets. If we keep struggling, I would consider gambling on Lance Stephenson. Yes I'm aware of his shot chart. Yes I know we need bigs. Yes I know we have Tucker.

Something about lance makes me think he'd be amazing here. Great rebounder, good defender, very young player. Good contract.

I probably would change my mind tomorrow but just throwing it out there.
